What size and where would CoolSculpting applicators be placed? (Photo)

When it comes to CoolSculpting, different practitioners develop their own unique styles of placement based upon their personal experience. If you are having consultations at multiple practices, you may find some practitioners suggest a more aggressive treatment plan, where others are more conservative. During your consultation, the practitioner should be able to articulate why they chose a specific treatment plan. Ultimately, the practice you choose should be your decision, based on where you feel most comfortable.
The good news is that CoolSculpting is an incredibly effective treatment. Patients can expect 20-25% reduction of fat cells in the treatment area per application. If you find that your initial treatment was not aggressive enough to give you the dramatic results you were looking for, you can always do another round later. I hope this helps!

First, Make sure you see an office that specializes in body contouring. By this I recommended an office that also does surgery with the tummy tuck operation. By inquiring about results from a Plastic Surgeon who can deliver a comprehensive approach to your concerns your are allowing yourself to see all of the options available to you. It is not infrequent for me to see a patient who was treated by a "chain" or dermatology office that has no capability to treat beyond Coolsculpting alone. They are unhappy with results and looking for a solution. So when considering a Non Invasive treatment look for guidance from a Plastic Surgeon who can give you comprehensive advice. 

Based on your photos, CoolSculpting applicators on the lower abdomen and flanks would appear to be most appropriate. Unfortunately it is difficult to tell you what size applicator you would need without an in person consultation to try different sizes of applicators on you. On average, CoolSculpting applicators are between $800 and $1000 depending on the size or whether there is a package deal. If you want to get more muscle definition along with fat reduction, I would highly recommend giving CoolTone a shot as well. Hope this helps!

Based on your photos, applicators can be placed on the lower abdomen and flanks, but I recommend getting an in-person evaluation. You are wise to get a few opinions with regards to your coolsculpting treatment. Your CS specialist should be reviewing their treatment recommendations with you in front of a mirror and explaining their reasoning for placement in the specified areas. 
The cost of treatment can vary from each office, but does tend to decrease  with each application. 

Congratulations, you are obviously working out and following a sensible diet.  Being at, or near,  your ideal weight is the preferred time to do coolsculpting to modify those areas that need "fine tuning".  I'm guessing you desire some thinning of the central abdominal and peri-umbilical fat (around the belly button).   Depending on how much pinchable fat there is, a suction type handpiece (cool max - large, or  several cool fit - medium size) might work.  Several handpieces are often used to slightly overlap an area to blend optimally unless the fat layer is so thin that a single handpiece might pull in a wide enough area to address the trouble areas.  Alternatively,  the flat handpiece (cool smooth or cool smooth pro) can be used.  In my experience this handpiece thins an area nicely and is ideal for the periumbilical (belly button) area if there isn't too much fat present or when attempting to improve irregularities left after a liposuction procedure.  As you are fine tuning, I would recommend you wait 4 months between treatments.  The final results can be appreciated at that time, even though most fat is lost at 2 months.  Does coolsculpting tighten the skin?  I believe it does but how much is variable among patients, being more likely in the young such as yourself with good skin quality and an absence of stretch marks or other signs of poor elasticity.    When a patient desires  more tightening after coolsculpting, we consider other modalities such as BTL Exilis Ultra for a series of treatments.  As always, your board certified physician should be able to help you with setting reasonable expectations.

Applicator placement should be based on location of pinchable fat. This is best determined by an in-person consultation. Based on your pictures consider 2 CoolAdvantage applications in the lower abdomen and 2 CoolAdvantage applications in the mid abdoment. A single CoolAdvantage Plus applicator can be considered if the applicator fit is good. 

As I see it, you could use some fat reduction along the lower abdomen and flanks (sides).  The applicators that are best for these areas are the CoolCore (slightly curved) for the lower abdomen and the CoolCurve (more curved) for the flanks.  These applicators are shaped appropriately for these areas.  
CoolSculpting has a new set of applicators that fit these profiles.  The CoolAdvantage series of applicators are a bit different from the old school applicators (CoolCore, CoolFit, CoolCurve, CoolMax) in that they work in half the time and don't produce much post-treatment discomfort.  The CoolAdvantage applicator is one applicator that has interchangeable templates that mimic the shape of the CoolCore, CoolFit and CoolCurve applicators.  I think the CoolAdvantage applicator produces the same results as the old school applicators.  The advantage comes from the shortened treatment time.

Hi fml1937,The best way to gauge whether the CoolSculpting applicators are the right ones for you is if a good suction is created. It also depends on your anatomy.When you have a formal consult, the applicators are drawn with a bit of overlap so that the fat loss would look natural.In your case, you will probably need 2 for the abdomen and 2 for the flanks.
