I'm due to get eye trough fillers in 2 days, but I'm currently taking 7.5mg of Meloxicam. If I stop meloxicam today, is 2 days going to be long enough? Or should I reschedule my appointment for another week?

Answer: NSAIDs increase risk of bruising Hi there - I would suggest deferring your filler injections for a week. NSAIDs thin the blood and increase risk of bruising (due to bleeding). They take several days to wash out of your system - usually 5-7 days so best to wait a week after ceasing them. The risk of bruising is always there, but this will hopefully help reduce it. Good luck!

Answer: NSAIDS and fillers NSAIDS increase the chance of bruising. The area under the eyes does tend to be prone to develop a bruise with injections. For that reason it is often advisable to not take any blood thinners like NSAIDS for 1-2 weeks before a treatment.
