As adults there is a set number of fat cells in our body, coolsculpting eliminates 20-25% of these fat cells in the targeted area per treatment. Once he cells are destroyed and excreted from the body this area of fat does not return. But what sometimes may be frustrating for patients is that  adjacent areas can look more prominent once the treated area completes its process of apotosis or cell death. For a confluent and full treatment of an area if there is a concern for adjacent areas looking full compared to a treated area. Your body does not regenerate fat cells once they are destroyed by the CoolSculpting treatment. So the answer is no, the fat does not come back that is eliminated naturally through the bodily system.

If you were to gain weight post Coolsculpting it would gain on the areas not treated much more so than the areas treated with Coolsculpting. We always recommend keeping a healthy diet and exercise regimen even after Coolsculpting to help maintain your results.

Good question!  CoolSculpting causes your fat cells to undergo a natural process of cell death after exposure to cold.  In other words, the cells die and you will not, as an adult make new fat cells to replace them. If you gain weight after CoolSculpting, you will store fat evenly in the remaining fat cells in your body.  The area that was treated with CoolSculpting will still proportionally contain fewer fat cells.

Once fat cells are eliminated from an area with Coolsculpting, they are gone for good.  Fat cells do not grow back. This does not mean you can't gain weight or see changes in the area.  If you gain weight the remaining fat cells you have can expand (and contract if you lose weight).  So, as long as you are good, your results will be.
