Does CoolSculpting cause loose/wrinkly skin?

Yes, Coolsculpting is good for stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin tightening. It will take about 3-6 months to see your final results. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative. Coolsculpting only targets fat cells, therefore it  does not worsen skin laxity nor does it improve it. It is a gradual process allowing the skin to 'contract' as fat cells are eliminated, leaving no loose skin. If you had loose skin before treatment, you will have the same loose skin after treatment.Regards,

This is a good question.  Coolsculpting will not treat lax or wrinkly skin.  It only treats the fat.  Because the  fat loss from coolsculpting is gradual the skin should shrink down to accommodate this It should not make it worse..  If you had   laxity of the skin before coolsculpting than usually we will combine this with some skin tightening procedure such as ultherapy or exillis to give the best results.

Coolsculpting is designed to target subcutaneous fat by "freezing fat"  essentially with a controlled cooling technique. It does not tighten the skin. If you had no complaints of skin laxity (stretch marks over abdomen, loose skin), the skin will generally retract.
 If you had some issues with laxity, it may be exaggerated immediately post procedure. It is a little to early to tell if this will be a long term complaint. It can take up to 3 months to see the full effect. Good luck!!
