Hello doctors, I will be undergoing 360 Vaser lipo (including saddlebags). Are there any other areas you would recommend for treatment to enhance the results? Thank you in advance!
Answer: Vaser lipo for lower body? Thank you for your question and photos. I'm not sure what you mean by VASER lipo of the lower body. Based on these photos, as a Total Definer surgeon, you will need VASER Hi Def Lipo 360 for your whole torso (upper/lower abdomen, pubic area, lateral chest wall, waist, hips, upper/lower back, lower back fat pad). This will give you an hourglass figure. You have asymmetry of the lateral thighs or saddlebags. Removing all that will give you a "manly" thigh/buttock junction. You have asymmetry of the buttocks which would need to be corrected by fat grafting and judicious liposuction to define and enhance this area. I hope your surgeon understands these concepts of body contouring to give you an athletic youthful body. Good luck.

Answer: Getting Lipo Liposuction results are based on two variables. The first first patient candidacy and the second is the skill of the provider repaired. A patient who is an excellent candidate for Liposuction has the potential of getting excellent outcomes if they select an excellent provider. They also have the potential of getting poor Outcomes if provider selection is insufficient. A patient who is not a good candidate for Liposuction does not have the potential for getting quality results, regardless of who does the procedure. Candidacy for Liposuction is primarily On what the underlying problem is. If the problem is purely related to too much undesirable subcutaneous fat Then Liposuction is the answer. If the problem is it all related to other variables like skin laxity, muscle separation from previous pregnancies or excess visceral fat the liposuction isn’t going to treat the problem guided Obviously some people have a combination of different variables. There isn’t much patients can do regarding their own candidacy. What patients do have control over his provider selection. Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction results including the ability to make quality assessments is not easy or straightforward. It’s more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who approach master of Liposuction is in reality quite small. Patients Typically don’t do a very good job at provider selection. Finding the right plastic surgeon is complicated and inherently difficult. Your best option to find the best provider is to have multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, it’s your responsibility to each provider. Bring pictures of yourself to use as a reference during the consultation. During each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own. Ask each provider to tell you what your level of candidacy is for the procedure, including differentiating between each of the different tissue variables described above. The type of equipment used has little impact on the final outcome, especially in comparison to candidacy and provider selection. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
