I'm at 5 week exact after the upper eyelids surgery and I am not happy with the result at all. My left eye lid is bigger than the right one and has ptotis.
Answer: You are still swollen which makes the crease look too high. Will this settle down and be satisfactory? I have my doubts. These creases look awfully high. Also they are not even. Significantly the surgeon does not appear to have controlled the volume of the skin and orbicularis below the crease. It is esstential to do this to snug the skin and muscle of the upper eyelid platform. I recommend letting these eyes heal for about 4 months. At that point, it will be possible to assess what will need to be done to correct the eyelids if the result is not satisfactory. Unfortunately fixing unsatisfactory eyelid surgery represents advanced skills and it is unlikely that the surgeon do did this work will be able to fix it.

Answer: It does not appear to be a problem. your eyelids are fine. There is no evidence of a problem. Minimal asymmetry can happen but you only 5 weeks out and appears to have some edema remaining over left upper eyelid more than the left. You need to be patient and wait for complete recovery. it takes 3 to 4 months to have all the edema resolved.

Answer: Uneven lids after ptosis repair Your still appear to have swelling. I think this is what is causing the uneven appearance. I would consult with your surgeon about how best to treat this. Warm compresses and sometimes a short course of oral steroids may help. You need to be examined in person by your surgeon.

Answer: You still have healing and recovery to do 5 weeks after surgery, your scar is at it's peek so it is normal to see the scar line or some asymmetry of swelling. You need to wait about 2-3 months to see the final result

Answer: Healing process This early in the healing process you will certainly have scar tissue that masks your result. This is a part of recovery and is to be expected at this point after a blepharoplasty. Be patient with your recovery and give your body time to heal. Be sure to keep any follow ups you may have with your surgeon for his or her advise and evaluation. Best wishes. Dean Vistnes.
