I asked for the loose skin to be gone and wanted lipo on my back and flanks. I woke up with no hips and half my butt gone and my back fat still here. I pointed out to surgeon. I go back in February. I am praying that things will settle and change, he said he changed the plan at the last minute because he thought I would like it better. The day of the surgery he changed it and did not say a word to me or my husband. No one in their right mind would pay 24,000 to look like this. Help.
Answer: Unhappy with Body Lift Results: Options for Improvement Hello, and thank you for your question regarding your lower body lift results. I want to acknowledge how challenging it must be to feel disappointed after your surgery, especially after putting so much trust in your surgeon and undergoing a significant procedure. In terms of timing, it’s essential to wait 6–8 months post-surgery to see the final results. Swelling, tissue settling, and scar maturation can all impact the way your body looks during the recovery period. However, if you are still unhappy after this time frame, revision options are available. Based on your description and photos, I would suggest discussing the following options with your surgeon or a new board-certified plastic surgeon: Liposuction of the Flanks or Back: This can address any residual fat in these areas that may not have been addressed during your initial procedure. Fat Grafting or BBL: Fat can be harvested from other areas of your body and transferred to the hips and buttocks to restore curves and volume. Buttock Augmentation Alternatives: If fat grafting is not an option due to limited fat stores, you might consider alternatives such as buttock implants or Sculptra injections to enhance the shape and volume of your buttocks. It’s concerning that the surgical plan was changed without your consent. Surgery outcomes should reflect your goals and expectations. If communication with your surgeon has been difficult, seeking second or even third opinions from experienced, board-certified plastic surgeons may help you determine the best course of action. I hope this information helps and provides some clarity as you navigate the next steps. Good luck! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Lower body lift Sorry to hear about your lower body lift problems, Nicole41206. It is certainly unfair that your plastic surgeon will suddenly change his plans in the middle of the surgery and not conform to your expectations. If you’re unhappy with your results, you can start inquiring about revision surgery at least six months after your procedure, when the results are already, more or less, final. You’d probably need a Brazilian butt lift to remove excess fats on your back and transfer them to give more shape to your buttocks. Good luck!

Answer: Post body lift masculinity Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately the masculinized look that you got is commonly seen following a lower body lift. Sorry to tell you it will not get better. It can be revised but very few surgeons will no how to improve what you have. When a year out from surgery you can get a revision. You will need an auto augmentation of your buttocks and hips with mid and lower back liposuction. This hopefully will improve your contour.Peter Fisher M.DPost massive weight loss body contouring specialist.
