Sometimes it’s better to use medical terminology or anatomically correct nomenclature. The term 360 simply implies that the work is done all the way around.Typically I Abdomen 360 implies upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles and waist. For some providers it may include part of the back and other providers it could include the entire back. It might include the chest wall all the way to the side of the breast or it may not.The term BBL by itself does not imply liposuction of any particular area but simply refers to gluteal augmentation using fat transfer. The better way to describe these procedures is to list the areas to be treated with Liposuction individually by anatomic names with the addition of gluteal fat transfer(BBL)Each surgeon will determine their own incision patterns based on their own experience, how they were trained and what they think works best.It should be made very clear prior to any body contouring procedure exactly what areas are going to be included. If you have questions regarding incision points I suggest talking about that during an in person consultation. The surgeon can show you exactly where the incision points will be and can show you pictures of what typically incisions scars look like on different skin types at different anatomic locations. If you haven’t done so already I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations if you’re interested in this procedure. You may want to consider making a list of questions to review during the consultations. The most common combination in my practice is liposuction of the “full torso” which technically includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, back and armpits or under arm area with gluteal fat transfer.treating the entire torso leaves the patient with a natural and even fat distribution. sometimes arms or thighs are added as well. I typically make nine incisions for liposuction of a full torso.I use a 2 mm round skin biopsy tool that leaves a small freckle looking skin blemish rather than a surgical line scar. For the fat transfer I make an additional five incisions. If I could get the same results with less incisions I would.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
