Thank you for your question. As a Total Definer body sculpting surgeon, I approach the body in 3D. I'm not sure what is your understanding of this procedure or what you mean by a "regular BBL". To me a BBL is a technical and artistic operation based on your muscle and bony anatomy, the amount of fat you have that a surgeon can transfer for shaping and enhancement of the buttocks and sculpt the rest of the body to create a feminine hourglass figure. I use the VASER Hi Def Lipo technique for fat collection and body sculpting.I personally, place my incisions in such a way that you cannot tell that any surgery was done (top of buttock crack, buttock folds, armpits, in the breast crease, belly button). These are stealth incisions. Some surgeons place it all over the body in highly visible areas and they will tell you that these will become imperceptible as they fade away. Not so true in brown or black skin tones and they are a forever reminder that you had surgery. Good luck.See the attached web reference.
Hello and thank you for your question. There is only one type of BBL, which includes liposuction of abdomen, flanks and lower back (also referred to as 360 liposuction), followed by fat transfer to buttocks. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeonfor a full evaluation and advice. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D. JohnsHopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
The scars are small, but some surgeons will make many more incisions and in less discrete locations. Scars are usually red for the first 3 months and then usually fade for a year or longer. I typically use three port sites to liposuction the pubic area, the upper and lower abdomen, the flanks, and the upper and lower back. If you do other excisional procedures, the number of port sites may be decreased.
Dear vdubb17,BBL surgery consists of liposuction and fat transfer. Most incision scars can be well hidden. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Lipo 360 + BBL is more extensive procedure than just a BBL, so there will be more incisions with lipo 360. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will help you get an accurate recommendation for your procedure and for pricing. Sometimes it’s better to use medical terminology or anatomically correct nomenclature. The term 360 simply implies that the work is done all the way around.Typically I Abdomen 360 implies upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles and waist. For some providers it may include part of the back and other providers it could include the entire back. It might include the chest wall all the way to the side of the breast or it may not.The term BBL by itself does not imply liposuction of any particular area but simply refers to gluteal augmentation using fat transfer. The better way to describe these procedures is to list the areas to be treated with Liposuction individually by anatomic names with the addition of gluteal fat transfer(BBL)Each surgeon will determine their own incision patterns based on their own experience, how they were trained and what they think works best.It should be made very clear prior to any body contouring procedure exactly what areas are going to be included. If you have questions regarding incision points I suggest talking about that during an in person consultation. The surgeon can show you exactly where the incision points will be and can show you pictures of what typically incisions scars look like on different skin types at different anatomic locations. If you haven’t done so already I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations if you’re interested in this procedure. You may want to consider making a list of questions to review during the consultations. The most common combination in my practice is liposuction of the “full torso” which technically includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, back and armpits or under arm area with gluteal fat transfer.treating the entire torso leaves the patient with a natural and even fat distribution. sometimes arms or thighs are added as well. I typically make nine incisions for liposuction of a full torso.I use a 2 mm round skin biopsy tool that leaves a small freckle looking skin blemish rather than a surgical line scar. For the fat transfer I make an additional five incisions. If I could get the same results with less incisions I would.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Hello dear! Thanks for the pictures and provided information as well. Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction with a BBL and a tummy tuck, to give you a nice tight tummy and to get rid of the extra skin, and I think you'll get very good results. Liposuction allows your...
Thanks for the question. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and ...
