Would Vaser lipo 360 and BBL be good enough to tighten my skin and contour my body, or would a tummy tuck be better? (photos)

I'm looking to get an hourglass shape and not end up with loose skin. Would vaser lipo 360 and bbl be good enough? At the same time not looking forward to have a difficult recovery and a large scar that comes with TT and BBL. Would getting Vaser lipo 360 and bbl affect getting a tummy tuck in the future if needed due to scare tissue developing after lipo . I currently stand at 5"2 154 pounds , BMI 28.16. Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction, BBL and a full tummy tuck to get rid of the extra skin. Just a liposuction alone will not be enough. It is important to remember when treating fat, more often than not you also need to treat skin as well. Tummy tuck also help to tighten loose stomach muscles, liposuction does not.

Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction, BBL and a full tummy tuck, to give you a nice tight tummy and get rid of the extra skin. Just a liposuction wont be enough.
Along with the tummy tuck, liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, back and flanks. BBL will give you a great buttock too.
It is important that you communicate to your board-certified plastic surgeon what are expecting, to make certain that your goals are realistic. It's helpful to show pictures of results you'd like, but please keep in mind that these are other people and your body is different from everybody.
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

You could have the short scar TT performed first; then the lipo and BBL several months later.  However, the result will not be as tight as lipo and BBL first and then short scar TT.  Both can be performed at the same time, but the upper abdomen cannot be aggressively liposuctioned at the time of the TT due to blood supply issues.  In recovery, you will not be able to rest on your stomach or back comfortably.  Also, resting on your back may compromise the fat grafting result.  I perform these two procedures hundreds of times each per year, because many of my patients only want to go through surgery and recovery one time.  You and your PS should make that decision based upon patient goals and anatomy.

You would benefit the most from an ultra high defintion tummy tuck and BBL. The tummy tuck procedure would comprehensively remove excess skin and fat in the abdominal region. The abdominal muscle would also be 'tightened' to create the appearance of a flatter stomach. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. My suggestion is that you do not look for any type of skin tightening device other than a tummy tuck. The truth is Liposuction/BBL alone will give it skin contraction because of the scar tissue that’s formed but adding energy devices such as VASER does not improve skin tightening.If you really wanted to try a state of the art skin tightening without a full tummy tuck and then it should be Liposuction in combination with Renuvion a.k.a. J plasma.  this is the most advanced radio frequency device for skin tightening in conjunction with Liposuction. I own the device and have first-hand experience but honestly I find the results a little less than I had hoped for. In reality the only real skin tightening the skin surgeryVASER can be a great device to use. It can remove fat more aggressively and shorter amount of time. it does not change the end result but makes the procedure a little faster and potentially easier for the surgeon.  VASER has a long list of undesirable traits as well.In my opinion the greatest one is the increased chance of having contour deformities which seems to happen more frequently especially in the hands of those who have not done numerous cases with the device.If you look at the worst botched cases presented on real self almost all of them were done using VASER.To me it’s a bit like an 800 hp high-performance car in the hands of a novice driver.Easy to wreck I’ve been a board-certified plastic surgeon for over 20 years. The last 10 years of my practice has been devoted exclusively to liposuction and fat transfer procedures.  i’ve used all the major Liposuction devices available.From first-hand experience my recommendation is to never choose the device over the surgeon.The skill and experience of the surgeon will always trump the brand of equipment used.This is true for car mechanics, plumbers and pretty much every craftsperson out there including plastic surgeons. I suppose the exception would be in the field of technology where technology is the main driving force. Liposuction is not technology driven it is skill driven.The limitations in your outcome without a full tummy tuck is that you will still have some skin laxity and your lower abdomen will still bulge slightly from muscle separation from your previous pregnancies(?)If having a tight flat abdomen is important then you need a full tummy tuck.If you’re OK with slight bulging of the upper abdomen then a mini tummy tuck either in conjunction with Liposuction/BBL or done after would fix the skin laxity of your lower abdomen.It doesn’t look like you have much skin laxity above your belly button so a mini tummy tuck may be a nice compromise.Considering how good full torso Liposuction results can look when done by a skilled provider I think starting with Liposuction is a great idea.I do Liposuction and fat transfer like the BBL  as an awake procedure using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The patient walks out of the office and is back to low impact normal activity in 3 to 5 days.  i’ve been doing awake liposuction and fat transfer for many years. It’s extremely safe, predictable and consistent when done by a skilled plastic surgeon.To me the un-natural belly button, permanent numbness and long scar or major deterrent for a tummy tuck.The recovery is also severe and takes a full two weeks.Having Liposuction does not eliminate the possibility of having a tummy tuck in the future including a mini tummy tuck.for reference, the recovery of a mini tummy tuck is nothing comparison to a full tummy tuck.  A mini tummy tuck recovery is more like having limited Liposuction.It’s the muscle tightening part of a full tummy tuck that makes the recovery brutal.There are also solid arguments for doing a full tummy tuck in conjunction with a BBL as being a good or bad idea.The combination definitely adds increased risk of major serious complications and then my opinion limits potential aesthetic outcome.My preference is to do these separate procedures. Adding a mini tummy tuck to a BBL is reasonable.
I suggest focusing your efforts in finding the most talented provider in your area.To find the best provider I suggest the following.

For the whole process to go smoothly and get the results you want I suggest relying exclusively on in person consultations avoiding virtual consultations.  An in person consultation will allow you to review all the providers before and after pictures not just the sample pictures sent to you.

Go back for a second consultation with the same provider if you have questions or aren’t sure. This procedure will change your body for the rest of your life and when things go wrong they often cannot be corrected.

Finish all the schedule consultations before making any commitments.

Talk to the provider about why some of the results look better than others.

results look drastically different immediately after the procedure then they do when results are final which takes 3 to 6 months. Discount any provider showing you early postoperative results.  These results are not at all representative of final results.

Most patients are left with average results and those unfortunately are never even posted.Read all the negative reviews on all the various physician review websites including real self, yelp, vitals, health grades and rateMD.  Because of positive review manipulation I find the negative reviews are much more telling of someone’s true practice.Nonmanipulated organic reviews tend to be evenly distributed with more or less the same number of reviews on each of these review websites.  providers who have excessive number of reviews on a single website show evidence of review manipulation.in regards to BBL results be careful to confirm results pictures are taken at least three months from the date of surgery. Discount pictures taken on the operating room or with present bruising.  Early BBL results are deceptive and do not come close to representing final results.  showing early fat transfer results is a disservice to everyone.You look like a great candidate for a BBL whether you choose to add a tummy tuck or not.

Given your photos, I believe you would be a better candidate for a tummy tuck with secondary liposuction and BBL, than with the liposuction and BBL, alone.  The tummy tuck will get rid of the loose skin and tighten the abdominal muscular wall.  this can't be achieved by the lipo and BBL.  For best result, I would suggest separating the two procedures by 3 to 6 months.  Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in these procedures.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
