28 F (5ft, 100 lbs) in search of advice and recommendations for a rhinoplasty. I have always hated my nose, especially the wide/boxy tip. I don't want to end up with an obvious nose job/ pinched tip look and am searching for something that better suits my face overall. I also considering procedures for my lower face. I have always had big cheeks. I feel like it makes my face look bulky at the bottom. I've thought about buccal fat removal, but don't want to age faster and lose that "youthful look". I really am just searching for facial balancing. I'm not sure what to look for in terms of a surgeon and what to specifically ask for. I'd love to hear any and all recommendations that you may have. I appreciate the help!
Answer: Rhinoplasty I would recommend an open or closed preservation rhinoplasty. When seeking a surgeon, I would ensure that they are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ideally, this individual has also completed an aesthetic fellowship (for extra focus on aesthetic surgery). This fellowship would ideally also be accredited by The Aesthetic Society. I would also look at photos, reviews, and at minimum have a digital consultation (Telehealth/Zoom video consult). You need to make sure that the surgeon's outcomes are in line with what you are seeking.

Answer: YES- I Recommend Rhinoplasty | Facial Plastic Surgery Nosejob Expert | Refine Bulbous Boxy Tip | Wide Bridge | Beverly Hills LA Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. It sounds like your nose is your primary concern, so let's focus on that for now. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the bridge and tip)! I'd be able to give you a nose that naturally fits your face, and doesn't appear obvious or "done"! This truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I also trained under a world-renowned master of complex facial aesthetics, so when you're ready to discuss facial balancing as well, I'll be happy and ready to go into all the details and different options with you! I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Correcting boxy tip Thank you for your photos. The upper portion of your nose, from the photos that you presented, looks excellent with beautiful dorsal aesthetic lines and normal width. Your tip is a little full, and a boxy tip is usually corrected by some conservative tip cartilage removal and reshaping the remaining cartilage with sutures to improve tip width, shape, projection, and improve the nasal/facial balance. You have a beautiful, youthful, natural facial contour, so I would hesitate in doing anything which could alter that. For your rhinoplasty, I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with specialization in rhinoplasty, and excellent before and after photos on their website. Best wishes.

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery for a narrower nasal tip appearance. Based on your photos, I have to say that you have an overall pleasing nasal appearance. I agree that your tip is a bit wide, however, in my opinion it is not terribly distracting. Since your surgery would certainly be a finesse operation, please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialist so you could see what to expect moving forward. Insofar as ancillary procedures, you appear to have a relatively short chin appearance on front view, however, more photographs would be necessary to make another recommendation. Thank you for this question, and I hope it helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty for nasal reshaping... Based on your photo, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The nasal tip can be made less boxy without pinching it if it is performed well. I wouldn't do buccal fat removal because it can make your face look hollow faster. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.
