I have been wanting to have my breast fixed for many years. I had my last baby over 9 years ago. I think I’d need a reduction and lift (without implant.) However, since I’ve lost 60 pounds my entire body has changed. Now, with this “hanging stomach” I’m wondering if I might be a good candidate for a full mommy makeover. What do you think? I didn’t budget for the full/both procedures (a tummy and breast,) is there any chance of getting the procedure partially covered? What exact procedures do you
Answer: Mommy makeover recommendations. Hello, Based off your photos alone, it appears you would be a candidate for a bilateral breast reduction (wise pattern or anchor pattern incision), standard abdominoplasty with rectus plication (muscle tightening) and liposuction to your bilateral flanks. This can be performed as a combination surgery or breast and abdominal surgeries could be performed separately. Insurance may cover a portion of the breast reduction, but that is dependent on several clinical factors and your individual insurance plan. Dr. Bauermeister

Answer: Mommy Makeover and Restoration Based on your photos alone, you appear to be an excellent candidate for a "mommy makeover," which is a combination of procedures designed to restore the body after pregnancy and significant weight loss. For your breasts, a breast reduction (which includes a lift) is an excellent option. This would address the sagging and excess tissue, lifting the breasts and reshaping them to restore a more youthful appearance. If you're experiencing neck or back pain due to the weight of your breasts, there’s a chance that insurance could cover part of the breast reduction portion of the procedure. In addition, an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) would address the excess skin in your abdominal area, often a concern after significant weight loss. This procedure would remove the loose skin and tighten the abdominal muscles, providing a flatter, smoother stomach. Liposuction can also be used to contour the flanks (sides of the abdomen) and the back, helping to further sculpt your body and create a more defined hourglass figure. It is important to note that if you plan to lose more weight, it's advised to reach your weight goal before undergoing surgery to ensure the best possible results. While the tummy tuck and liposuction are typically considered cosmetic and may not be covered by insurance, the breast reduction could potentially be covered if it is deemed medically necessary. If the full mommy makeover is outside your budget, you might consider breaking the procedures into two separate surgeries. Additionally, there may be financing options to help manage the cost. Scheduling a consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon is the best way to determine the most suitable approach for your specific needs and goals.. Answer: Ideal candidate for Mommy makeover Yes a breast reduction would help for symmetry and lifting. Doing both the breast and abdominoplasty with liposuction would be optimal. Congratulations on the weight loss. After the abdominoplasty you will loose further weight. Insurance would not cover the breast because they are not big enough. You can do financing like care-credit, they offer great plans. Be careful of the financing plans with high interest rates..

Answer: Breast and abdomen If you plan to try and lose more weight, do so before any surgery. Your insurance company possibly might cover a breast reduction. You will need to start with your medical doctor for this. Once you are at your weight loss goal, then consider a tummy tuck. Liposuction can be done now.
