Hi all! I’m a 26 year old mom and have had 3 csections, all healed wonderfully, tiniest scar ever! However, I have accumulated excess skin and want it gone! I’m 5ft 1in 174lbs, my goal is to be about 160-165lbs. I am wanting to have a tummy tuck and 360 lipo by march 2023, the earlier the better honestly! Am I candidate? Would I get good results? Had my last baby may 2022 and got a tubal ligation!
Answer: Mommy makeover after x3 c-sections? Hello,Based off your photos alone, you are a candidate for a standard vs. extended abdominoplasty with rectus plication (muscle repair), liposuction to bilateral flanks and lower back. With the degree of excess skin you have, this procedure would greatly improve your appearance. I generally do not recommend liposuction to the central abdomen at the same time as an abdominoplasty due to the potential increase risk of wound healing issues from the altered blood perfusion to the mid lower abdomen. Answer: Candidate for abdominoplasty and lipo 360 When reviewing your photos, it appears that you do have a lot of lax skin in your abdomen area. You would also benefit with liposuction to the back as well. It is normally advised to get down to a preferred goal weight, or close to it before undergoing surgery for optimal long lasting results. Of course this response is based solely on your photos, it is always best to go for an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to distinguish the best plan for you.

Answer: Tummy Tuck Candidate Thanks for your question. Based on your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. For a tummy tuck, you would need to be at a BMI of 33 or under and in good health, as well as get cleared for surgery by your physician. I recommend you schedule a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Surgery At 5' you need to get down to at least 130 pounds or less, then consider having surgery to remove all the excess skin and tighten your abdominal wall and do liposuction if needed.

Answer: Yes! A mommy make over addresses the excess skin and laxity in the stomach. It is a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. The goal is to restore the natural anatomy of the rectus muscles and correct any separation (diastasis). The excess skin is then trimmed, and a new home for your belly button made. This give a more defined flat waist line. The breasts usually due to age and breast feeding have decreased volume in the upper pole (cleavage goes down). The nipples may point down. The repositioning of the nipples alone is a lift or mastopexy. The addition of implants helps correct the deficiency of the upper pole in your breasts, and adds back the cleavage. I would caution about doing a liposuction 360 in addition to the above surgery. I think you really need to balance the recovery period. I advise my patients to do the abdomen and breasts. Come back for a second stage where we do fat transfer, liposuction and minor revision if needed. I think if you tried to do it all in one, you wouldn't get as good of a result and it would be a higher risk for post-operative complications. Hope that helps! Good luck in your search.
