How long will this Restylane in my forehead last?

Question

I had about 1.5-1.75 of 1 syringe of restylane in my forehead to cover an acne scar/indentation. How long will this last here about? It has been 7 months and it is still just as filled as it was to begin with. He actually overfilled it a bit which creates a shadow in some lighting, so I am anxious to get rid of it- had it filled for my wedding. Thanks

I have seen your posted picture of this service and I think it is remarkable it did not blind you.  This is not a good place for filler.  Do not patiently wait for this overfill to go away on its own.  It needs enzyme to break it up.  Best.

Rest assured, the filler will dissolve on its own, but Restylane may last anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on the formula and the area of the face. Fillers in more mobile areas like the lips have a thin, flexible texture and do not last as long as more dense fillers such as cheek and wrinkle fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.

Fillers will typically last 6-12 months. In areas with less movement like the forehead, it may be closer to 12 months. Besides waiting for it to dissolve, you can try to massage it down by simply pushing on it and spreading out the filler. Alternatively you can have it injected with a compound to dissolve the filler. it depends on how much it bothers you.

Hi there, Restylane in the forehead lasts at least 8 months if not longer. You can get some of it removed using a hyaluronidase. Return to the doctor that injected you and they should be able to help you. Good luck, Dr. Downie

Superficial placement of filler can last a long time. If you want it to go away, it may need to be dissolved.
