A few years ago it was not marketed in the usa because it caused lumps, is it still true?
Restylane is designed to be injected into the dermis but a sub Q injection is often done and is not a deviation of medical care. Lumps can be from administering pearls of the product and not making the smooth , granuloma formation and just movement or clumping of the product. If you are asking is there a Restylane called Restylane SubQ in the USA no there is no and if it was administered in the USA then it was not FDA approved since it was manufactured for overseas sale. It dosnet mean its bad in means the FDA did not evaluate this product. However it is illegal to inject patients in the USA with imported products.
