I am considering restylane under the eyes and on the cheeks. However, I practice a martial art called jiu jitsu. In this form, your face very often gets squeezed by an opponent. You often end up between someone's legs or arms and they apply great pressure. So, would a filler on the cheeks and under the eyes hold up if your doing this for a couple hours a week?

Answer: Martial Arts after Restylane Thank you for your question. I always advise my patients to avoid exercise for 24 hours after the injection. Since you are participating in a more vigorous contact sport, I would advise waiting 5-7 days before returning to Jiu Jitsu. The tear-trough area is quite sensitive and you will experience some swelling and/or bruising for approximately one week after treatment. Best,Ariel Ostad MD PC
