I had Miradry five days ago, I'm pretty much healed other than it feeling weird to the touch, can I go tanning?

Thanks for the question.  Wait until the swelling and bruising subsides, and massage any areas where it feels "weird."  If you want a tan look, consider a spray tan in the mean time! Best wishes, Dr. Aldo :-)

I would not go tanning at all and definitely not so soon after MiraDry.  If you have swelling in the area, you could risk post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.  Go for a spray tan instead.If the area feels weird to the touch, that indicates that you may still have some numbness.  I recommend that my patients take a Vitamin B complex to help with nerve regeneration.  Massage is very important as well to ensure that the area does not have lumps. It would be best to wait until all swelling and numbness goes away before you consider tanning, which could lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin). 

You're right- regardless of having Miradry or not, we definitely wouldn't recommend tanning beds.  If you feel it's necessary, I would wait until the swelling subsides. If you still having bruising, I would avoid it. Be safe

 There is no problem with going tanning after having the miraDry procedure - just don't get a burn :)  Be well, Dr. M
