I have what I believe is a combination of short neck, fat under chin and no jawline definition and this makes me super uncomfortable and insecure with myself. Can you kindly give me some guidance on what could help give me some neck, jawline definition ? I’m 33 years of age. I have had one consultation and was advised Submental fat lipo and fat transfer so looking for other opinions . Willing to travel thank you.
Answer: Know your options for improving neck and jawline definition Thank you for submitting your question and photos. You would likely benefit from a combination of facial liposuction and chin augmentation to improve the definition of your neck and jawline. Liposuction can effectively remove excess fat from the neck area and below the chin to create a more sculpted appearance. The jawline can be further defined with the placement of a customized chin implant to provide a favorable, natural-looking contour. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to assess your concerns and suggest the best approach for achieving your aesthetic goals.

Answer: There is no perfect solution for every patient wanting a sharper jawline. Your photos only tell part of the story. You appear to have beautiful and thicker skin combined with some heaviness of the jawline and upper neck soft tissues. Small but safe improvements would be possible with non-surgical treatments. However, liposuction with or without laser or radiofrequency technology may be your best option. During consultation the anatomy can be assessed and a personalized treatment recommended. Improving your chin projection at the time of contouring the neck should also be part of the consultation. Of course, you will need to consider the risks and potential benefits. Dr. Mosher

Answer: Neck lift Thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. The problem that you are concerned about is related to genetic features and most likely at least one of your parents would be displaying similar features. There is no skin excess in the neck so there is no need to remove skin in order to achieve contouring. The volume excess is predominantly situated deep to the platysma muscle is and is not only related to fatty tissue so liposuction will have some effect but probably less then what you wish to achieve. The anterior necklift can provide volume reduction deep to the platysma muscles in the neck and a combination of conjuring both for the jawline and the neck definition. It involves a scar under the chin which measures approximately 3 cm. There is usually also a small amount of liposuction carried out along the jowl area and lateral parts of the neck as part of the procedure.

Answer: Jawline Definition / Jawline Enhancement / Facial Sculpting / Facial Contouring -- injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Improving Neck and Jawline Definition Based on your photos, I would recommend a necklift to include, fat removal under the chin and below the jawline, tightening/lifting of the playsma muscles in the front of your neck, neck skin tightening, and placement of a chin implant to increase chin projection. This would improve your neckline, jawline, and better balance your chin with your overall face.
