Want a very natural look - would 385-415cc be a good size for what I’m wanting? (photo)

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Without a proper evaluation, it is tough to say what implant size will help you to achieve a natural result. The 30cc of difference between the two implants you gave will not make a meaningful impact on the results.

Selecting the most appropriate breast implant size for breast augmentation is a personal decision that ultimately you have to make. An in-person consultation with implant sizing is best.

It depends on your height, weight and breast base width diameter. To know what might be right for you, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have breast implant surgery.

Natural and fake are adjectives to describe something based on the observers opinion, this is a subjective opinion and is only true to the observer. Therefore, you can't crowd source this, you may not agree with the answers you get. In general, patients want a given size regardless of the shape that their breast becomes. The reality is that the bigger the implant chosen, the less the breast will look like it doesn't have an implant inside of it, AKA 'natural'. So, I suggest you find the size implant needed to achieve your size goals, and don't recommend simulation software like the photo you show. The most clear way to give you a sense of body proportion is by using purpose built sizers; you will see yourself in real time with clothing on in the mirror. Once you have accomplished that, you and your doctor will know what volume of implant you need, and the doctor can show you results of other people who looked like you prior to surgery and who now have that implant size.

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Implant selection is always best done in person. Your surgeon is your expert and has had the benefit of examining you and discussing your surgical goals. The implant sizes that are being recommended by your surgeon sound reasonable. It's hard to define what "natural look" means from one person to the next. I encourage you to revisit with your surgeon if you have concerns about the sizes discussed.

Thanks for your question. There is not a very noticeable difference between a 385 and a 415cc implant. You can let the surgeon use his best judgement or try on sizers prior to surgery.

The sizes of implants above will probably look nice depending upon what size you want to be. I would suggest trying on the range of sizes so you can actually see and feel the weight.

Most plastic surgeons will have you try on different sized implants under a bra to help you choose an implant size. So you should do this to start. I also ask people to find photos of their ideal breasts in someone with a similar body habitus. I go over these photos with the patient and then put them up on the operating room wall so that I can compare the appearance with how the patient’s breasts look with sizers when I sit her up on the table. At the end of the day, you need to find a plastic surgeon who really listens and pays attention to what you want to have the best chance of getting what you want.
