Surgeon used incorrect implant size: what's the size difference for 50cc?

First off, I'm sorry that you did not get what you expected. 50cc is not a large size difference, typically less than half a cup size. For comparison, a shot glass holds 30cc. That being said, if you feel that they are too large you should consider a revision. Whether or not it's discounted is between you and your original surgeon, if you choose to go back to them. 50cc is really small amount of volume so it probably won't cause any significant difference in size. If you have any issues, you need to check them with your plastic surgeon.

If you consider that 50 ml is 1/8 of the implant volume and add on top of that volume of your breast tissue, lets say 350 ml., that difference of 50 ml is almost unnoticeable. Breast asymmetry that is seen in most women is usually over that volume. Hope this helps.

50CC's is about 3 tablespoons difference. In all honestly, switching down to a 400CC implant is not going to provide you much of a difference. If you feel that you are too big you are probably going to be guided down to 350CC or 300CC.
Revision policy's are going to vary surgeon and office. For me, happy patients are most important so I would offer a discounted revision whether it was my fault or the patient simply chose a size they're not happy with.

Fifty cc's is about 3 tablespoons or about one third of a cup in size. I would suggest waiting until the swelling has subsided to see if you actually like this size. Do go ahead and discuss this with his office manager in case you decide you want smaller. Right now, it is too early to tell.

50 cc is not a very large difference. Depending on your original size and breast measurements, it could be more noticeable in some and less in other women. I always recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon as a full consultation would be necessary.

Going from a 450cc to 400cc implant would be a minor difference. It's less than 3 1/2 tablespoons of volume. If you feel your implants are too large and would like to exchange them for smaller implants you can do so at any time. The payment for the exchange would have to be decided between you and your surgeon.

The size of the implant does matter, however, it is even more dependent on the patients rib cage and existing breast tissue.
Generally speaking, a 25 cc increase in implant sizing is minimal. A 50cc increase is noticeable but even more so when dealing with smaller implants (such as going from a 300 to 350 where the difference in size ratio is much greater). If you are unhappy with the 450, you should reduce to a 375 for more of a noticeable change. If you feel they are WAY too large, a 350cc implant might work, but this will be a huge size decrease.
