DearReadyForNewMeAt30, These wound issues are usually minor and not uncommon. They are usually caused by the absorbable sutures used to close the wound. You are treating it appropriately, but I would strongly suggest that you call your surgeon. They may want to see the wound and/or start you on an antibiotic as well. Good luck. #Dr. Gervais.

I am sorry to hear/see the complication you are experiencing; these types of localized incision line problems are not uncommon seen after tummy tuck surgery (and our often suture related). I think that you will be best off communicating your findings/concerns/questions with your plastic surgeon directly. You will find that he/she will be available to you to the office service most likely. It is probable that a course of antibiotics will be started. Best wishes.
