You have to acknowledge that before any type of surgical procedure, no matter what, even dental procedures, you have to have done blood work which includes complete coagulation test. The only reason why someone may die bled out during a programmed surgery is because he/she have a medical condition where the coagulation factor are abnormal and those conditions are detected during coagulation test, normally asked during preoperative consultation (vivid or online). If your surgeon is Board Certified Plastic Surgeon he or she will request the proper test to make your surgery experience the best and safest. Be encouraged. Just make your research about your surgeon. In Mexico, you may check the Council of Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery list on google (Consejo Mexicano de Cirugia Plastica Estetica y Reconstructiva)Dr. Cardenas
I have not had a patient need to be even transfused in thousands and thousands of procedures.Find a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of tummy tucks and liposuction procedures each year, has great reviews, and has great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
This is very rare and should never happen with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist. Has it ever happened? Probably. Unfortunately, there are many terrible surgeons out there pretending to be plastic surgeons. This is why you need to do your homework. Select only board certified plastic surgeons (not "cosmetic surgeons") and stay in the US.
Every patient is or should be advised that there is always the possibility of a bleeding complication with any major surgery, but the chance is VERY small in the hands of an experienced and well trained surgeon.
Other than trauma cases one should not encounter a cosmetic surgery patient who "bleeds out" during surgery. These procedures are performed in a controlled environment and if done with proper anesthesia and performed by a board certified plastic surgeon the blood loss should be low. Postoperative hematomas can occur but if recognized and treated appropriately even these should not lead to "bleeding out".
Bleeding is a risk of any procedure. Bleeding out should be exceedingly rare in the hands of a well trained surgeon. Good luck!
Bleeding is complication of any surgical procedure but , assuming careful selection of your plastic surgeon, would be very unusual. Best wishes.
Your tummy tuck was less than 3 weeks ago.You are still swollen - you need to give it time.Losing 6 pounds to get to 150 will make all the difference if your waist is still too large after swelling subsides. You will probably lose another 2 inches from swelling and an 8 pound weight loss is...
If a financing company turns you down, it is unlikely that a surgeon will accept your credit.Since you can afford monthly payments, make them to yourself -into your own savings account or to a plastic surgeon for advance payment. Then when you have saved the full amount, have the tummy tuck.Best...
The decision rests with your tummy tuck surgeon and the anesthesiologist but -If the problem is limited to your nose and is not infection, in this area you are fine to have surgery. If you are coughing up phlegm, surgery might be postponed. So call your surgeon and ask to speak to the...
