Amount of filler for chin augmentation? (Phtoo)

Voluma is a deep filler often used to improve the soft tissue contour. In the chin, Voluma can be used to improve the contour and add more projection to the central chin to rebalance the chin, lips, and nose and to produce an idillic heart shape to the face. 
Based on your pictures, I would not expect to use more than one vial of Voluma in your chin, however, the amount is based on your tissue response and the amount of correction you desire. A safe bet is to prepare for 1-2 vials. 
Many of our patients travel from around NYC to the Albany / Saratoga Springs area to avoid the high costs in the city. One vial of Voluma will cost around $750 in Albany. There is no consultation fee.
I would caution against filling in the depression below your mouth - this can widen the chin area and unbalance the lower third of the face. You may, however, want to consider Botox into the masseter (jaw) muscle to narrow the posterior aspect of your jaw.

You can use this site to estimate the cost of a dermal filler chin augmentation in your area. You don’t need much product, maybe 1 mL, to bring your chin into alignment with your lips. Voluma, Bellafil, and Sculptra are all good choices. Voluma and Sculptra can last around 2 years, Bellafil may last longer. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at creating chin augmentations with dermal fillers.

I think you can achieve a very nice result with a single syringe of Voluma.  Though cost always plays a role in decision making be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon who can demonstrate good results with placement in other patients.  Hope this helps.

Voluma® minimally is delivered in a 1cc syringe, and the amount you need depends on how large a chin you want. Prices vary significantly based on geography.

There are many great products for adding volume to the chin area.  Juvederm Voluma is a nice choice; it is a deeper filler and has a longevity of 18-24 months.  It would be best to begin with one syringe, wait for swelling to diminish, them you can add additional if needed over the course of the next several months. One syringe would be a good start and might be all you would need based on your photos. 
Bellafill is also a choice for chin augmentation. This filler has a longevity greater than 5 years.

You are quite correct that sometimes a few cc's of filler is required for chin augmentation, but I don't think you are likely to need too much, and even with 1ml Voluma I would expect you to see a good result. From the pictures you have posted it looks as though your chin has good proportion vertically, but the balance between your nose, mouth and chin would be improved with a little more projection. By doing this the area of fullness should also be improved to some degree.
Even if you find that you need more than 1cc, because Voluma lasts so well you would be able to enjoy the initial improvement, and add to the result even 6 months later if required.

Fillers are a great solution to increasing some volume in the chin area. The type of filler and the amounts depends on your specific condition. You need to consult with an experienced physician, also Botox or Xeomin can be used in the chin area along with fillers. 

Hi Lexi,HA fillers are a great option for chin augmentation! We do this routinely  in our office.  I think  it will look beautiful for you and I wouldn't necessarily go with Voluma.  It doesn't necessarily last much longer than Other Fellers. You have to look into the clinical studies to assess the company's data.  With that said,  it is a great products as well as other Juvederm or Restylane products, like Juvederm Ultra Plus  or  Restylane Lyft.  From the pictures you posted  I would say you probably won't need much and whatever is left in the syringe can be used elsewhere in your face. That should dictate to you which product to use.. Look around for students specials, especially this time of year and specifically in the Boston area where there are so many students.Best, Dr. Onir
