I had chin fillers done 7 months ago and they made it look very natural and I was very pleased with my result. However, yesterday I've had to go back to the same surgeon for a top up as the filler dissolved massively over the time period. It's been over 24hrs since I've had more fillers done and I'm very unhappy this time around. What is the ideal thing to do in this situation?
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Chin filler made chin too pointy At 1 day after the injection of filler to your chin, there is still going to be some expected swelling from the treatment. This can take several days to a week or so to resolve. It is very likely that with more time, your chin will improve to the point where you will not need to do anything. If you still feel your chin does not look as you would like after a week or so, you should contact the physician who treated you.

Answer: Chin Filler Opinion, At 24 hours out, the filler is still settling in and the body has created swelling due to the manipulation in the chin by the injection and the filler itself. Swelling usually peaks at 48-72 hours after injection and progressively dissipates thereafter. I would wait at the least 7 days until considering if any filler needs to be dissolved. If the filler used belongs to the hyaluronic acid family, it can easily be dissolved. The chin is an active area, therefore, filler placed in this area tends to resorb away faster than other less mobile areas of the face like the temples, for example. A more permanent consideration for chin augmentation involves the placement of a chin implant that can be created to contour precisely to your anatomy. The procedure can be done in the office under local anesthesia. Should you not like the results, the implant can be removed in the office in less than 10 minutes. Hope this helps!

Answer: Dissolving filler with hyaluronidase If a hyaluronic acid based filler such as Juvederm or Restylane was used, it could be dissolved using a enzyme called hyaluronidase.

Answer: Give it some time I would give it some time before making a final decision on what to do. It has only been one day and there may be some inflammation/swelling as a result of the recent procedure. If you are still unsatisfied 7 days after the procedure, return to the surgeon. Depending on what product he/she used, he/she may be able to dissolve it by injecting a reversal agent.
