Procedure in 3 months. I've lost 30 pounds so far. No previous pregnancies. No previous plastic surgeries besides a breast reduction. Procedure is April 2021. I'm still on track to lose more weight. But how much more weight should I lose? Or do I need to lose anymore? Age: 23 Current weight: 219lbsHeight: 5' 7.5 BMI: 33.8
Answer: Weight loss Dear Ayay22, generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a BBL, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: How much more weight should I lose for lipo 360/BBL and arm lipo? (Photos) The closer you come to achieving your weight goal, the more enhanced the results of the lipo 360/BBL. The best person to advise you on continued weight loss is the board certified plastic surgeon with whom you are scheduled for surgery in Apr 2021.

Answer: My Recommendation Hello Ayay22, thanks for sharing your questions and photos, you look like a great candidate for a 360 lipo + BBL, keep in mind if you loose too much weight your surgeon is not going to have enough fat to be transferred to your buttocks. . Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks! Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: Lipo BBL and weight loss Ayay, You have MORE than enough fat already for a BBL procedure. You do have some moderately serious issue with your abdominal skin! You have a transverse (sideways) belly button which shows that you have a lot of excess skin. Liposuction of the front of your abdomen will empty out the fat, but you may end up with extra skin if it does not all contract post procedure. The rest of your lipo 360 should leave you with very nice results. DrT

Answer: Losing weight for BBL procedure. There are a number of issues to take into consideration. The first one is if you have your surgery scheduled and have already consulted with a plastic surgeon. If so your questions should be post to that person. If you have not had a consultation then I suggest scheduling one sooner rather than later. You need to review your candidacy for the procedure with an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. At 219 pounds it may be challenging to get ideal lipisuction results and still stay within safety limits regarding how much fat can be removed in a single procedure. This would be my primary concern for you at your current weight. My absolute maximum weight limit for liposuction with or without fat transfer is 220 pounds. Patients above 200 pounds always are scheduled for two rounds of liposuction to get sufficient results. I do not remove more than 5 L of fat in a single procedure because of California state loss. In Florida it’s restricted to 4 L. 5 L of fat is about 8 pounds. It’s simply not enough to make a significant impact on someone who is 220 pounds. Patients who are morbidly obese and successfully loose enough weight to be in a recommended healthy weight range often develop skin laxity. From successful weight loss patients often transfer themselves to becoming skin laxity surgery candidates instead In other words patients sometimes fail to be liposuction candidates because of morbid obesity with massive weight loss become candidates for an extended tummy tuck instead. I suggest you either follow up with your plastic surgeon or consult with one if you have not done so already. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
