Hi there, Thank you for your question. It depends on your waist trainer. As long as it does not affect the incisions or breasts, you can start any time you like. Best, realdrsix
Thank you for your post. Although this forum is an excellent resource for patients, I do not think it should take the place of your chosen's surgeon advice. You chose your surgeon probably for some very good reasons and trusted him/her with your procedure! They know more about you and the specifics of your surgery than anyone here so I would follow their advice. Each surgeon has their own postoperative plan. In general most surgeons recommend full activity by 7-8 weeks. Good luck with your continued recovery!
Always best to check with your surgeon. That said, at this point in time, you should be fine to start your training.
Hello Yari.Since you're more than 6 weeks out from the procedure you're probably fine to begin training. It's always good to check with your plastic surgeon as well.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
Hi,First off, thank you for your question and congratulations on a successful procedure. Let’s take a moment and look into waist training for a moment. Waist Training, also known as ‘Tight Lacing’, involves the use of a corset or latex waist trainers in order to reduce the size and shape of the waist. Weight loss through waist training is possible, but only because the corset serves as an external gastric band that naturally limits the amount of food that can be digested. Now, in relation to breast augmentation, I would highly advise against undergoing waist training until your body has properly healed. In the weeks following the procedure, you will experience some soreness and swelling on your chest. Wearing a corset at any point of the recovery period might be incredibly painful and can leave your body vulnerable to damage. However, considering the amount of time that has elapsed since your procedure, you may be able to begin Waist Training in relatively light increments. However, it is best to discuss this with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Given your history together, they will know exactly what the best course of action is, should you begin Waist Training.Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. I have my patients wait 3 weeks before resuming regular exercise without any restrictions. Every Dr. has his or her own protocol so I would double check with your PS.
Since every surgeon has his or her own protocol, definitely check with yours, but I typically allow my patients to return to full exercise at 6 weeks post op. Best of luck.
Thank you for your inquiry. I advise all my patients to wait at least 6 weeks. You are over 7 weeks post surgery so i would advise to start slowly and increase as tolerable.
You are over seven weeks from your breast augmentation and should be able to start waist training at any time. However, it's best to check with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.
This is a great question for your surgeon. Every surgeon has their own protocol. Your surgeon is following you closely during the first months to optimize your results.
Hi there, Thank you for your question. It is best if you speak with your surgeon regarding the medications you are taking. Typically we have our patients stop medications for a week to 2 weeks post BA. Best, realdrsix
