Hello RS fam!! It’s been a long journey finding the “right” plastic surgeon for me. After searching for the past 2 years and waiting what felt like a lifetime (but was probably a 9 month wait) to have my consultation appt with Dr. Patrick Hsu, I’m so excited that I will finally become a #HSUDOLL in about 1 more week! I’ve been on a handful of other consults, but the service and my experience so far with Dr. Hsu and his staff at Memorial Plastic Surgery have been unmatched.
First of all, I loveeee Jessica!! She answered so many of my questions and was also able to fit me in sooner due to a last minute cancellation (so ladies- ask to be put on their cancellation list! I got lucky and received a call from her to see if I wanted to move up my surgery date up - it was originally scheduled in March 2021). I also LOVEE Trudi (Dr. Hsu’s patient care coordinator). She made me feel so comfortable during my consultation. She’s so nice, very knowledgeable & to top it off, gorgeous!! I was also very impressed by how thorough Dr. Hsu was compared to the other surgeons I consulted with. He examined me and made sure I understood what my surgery would entail, what kind of results I can expect, scar/incision placement, possible risks & complications, etc. But what made me choose Dr. Hsu (even though he is on the pricier $$$ side) was how I felt confident & comfortable the entire time with him & his staff - before/during/after my consultation. I feel confident that Dr. Hsu will be able to transform and snatch my body and I will be in great hands (both during surgery and the aftercare) with him & his staff!
More info about me below:
- Planned Surgery: Tummy Tuck w/muscle repair, Lipo 360 + BBL
- Mommy of 2
- Age: 34
- Ht: 5’4
- Wt: Currently 155 lbs. (my weight can fluctuate A LOT, any where between 120 - 160 lbs. in my adult life. My heaviest was 180 lbs. during pregnancy)
I feel the most comfortable and also feel like I look the best being around 135 lbs., so I plan to lose around 20 lbs. once everything is stable after surgery. Dr. Hsu also mentioned that I would have much better results being at my ideal/lighter weight during my consultation, and I don’t disagree! (Lol)
I'll post more later & include some before photos. For those of you who have gone through a TT/BBL at the same time, please let me know your "must have items" below! TIA!!

Here’s what I’m starting off with after having 2 children (loose skin, fat, muscle separation, & stretch marks). Depending on what I’m wearing and how I’m sitting, the skin on my lower abdomen lays differently! - most likely from the liposuction I had close to 5 years ago.
Dr. Hsu mentioned that my belly button is higher than avg, but I’m hoping he will still be able to give me a full tummy tuck, without a vertical scar. Even if that happens, I will still be happy having all that extra loose skin cut off, a curvier shape, and a new natural looking belly button he’s known for. Only a few days away now!!

Love these tummy tuck results!! (Beautiful curves, low incision, and natural looking belly button) Hope Dr. Hsu can snatch & shape me like these dolls! Currently looking at how I will sleep after surgery. I don’t have a recliner - so I purchased wedge pillows, body u-shape pillow, and a bolster lower back pillow. Praying this will work and I won’t regret not getting a recliner..

Hi Dolls! Sorry for not updating sooner, but I made it and am now on post-op day 7. Let me start off by saying that Dr. Hsu, his staff & OR team are the best! The morning of my surgery started off rough.. I woke up feeling so nauseous from the scopolamine patch I put on the night before, which is ironically suppose to help with nausea! (I put the patch on too early). Luckily, the nurses took care of me right away with a concoction of meds once I arrived to the surgery center, and I was feeling more of my normal self before surgery - thank God.
I don’t remember much after going into the OR besides getting prepped while standing up - that part was not my favorite. It was so cold, but his nurse (Kim) was so nice and made me feel comfortable. Within a blink of an eye I was in recovery and I remember someone saying the surgery was done. I was immediately relieved and so thankful when I realized I didn’t have any feeling of nausea (I hate feeling nauseous!!) The pain was well controlled and I mainly just felt sleepy and swollen/numb everywhere.
The first couple of days weren’t as bad as I was anticipating. The pain was very manageable, probably due to getting exparel (which is included in the tummy tuck price)! Here’s a quick pic I took on post-op day 5 after getting a lymphatic massage at Victoria Heavenly Spa. Those massages are brutal (sometimes feels like a 10/10 for pain).. but good on the body. I highly recommend this place!
I’ll update more later but I already love my new shape & results - esp my breasts & cute belly button (I decided to add on fat grafting to the breasts with my TT, lipo360, & bbl). Including a quick pic I received of my results on the table. So grateful for my experience so far - Dr. Hsu has magic hands!!

Took a quick pic before I showered tonight. Breasts have definitely deflated some (as expected), but I’m in love with my new shape and natural looking belly button!! Also loving that it’s getting easier with each passing day. More of discomfort from the swelling than anything, no pain! Looking forward to having this drain taken out soon. I believe Dr. Hsu says it gets taken out if drainage is less than 30cc’s for 2 consecutive days, so hopefully by the end of this week!

Post-op day 17! Had a quick office visit to get my drain removed - finally drained less than 25cc’s for 2-3 days, so I called the office and Mayra said I could come in to get it removed - yay!! It wasn’t painful at all so I don’t know why I psyched myself out.. lol. Here’s a quick mirror selfie bc I love the mirrors inside their exam rooms!! I’m still so bruised and swollen but I already LOVEEE my new body. I feel so blessed to be able to have Dr. Hsu as my surgeon. He is truly worth the wait and every cent!!

It’s been a little over 3 months since my surgery, and I am already SO HAPPY with my results!! With every passing week, my swelling got better and that’s when my curves really started to show - I noticed a major difference around 6 weeks post-op. Unfortunately, my boobs also got smaller, but that is to be expected with fat grafting instead of implants. Dr. Hsu said about 50% of the fat usually survives in the breasts, but I actually feel like I retained more (so far). My husband loves them, especially knowing that it’s my “natural” breasts/tissue and says I look so sexy, which is the ultimate compliment, especially being together for so long, lol (we are high school sweethearts)!
Since I’m past all the big hurdles in recovery, I’ve been concentrating on being healthier. Dr. Hsu recommended that I lose some weight if I really wanted to get the best results possible, and I have lost close to 20 lbs. since surgery, just by eating healthier!! Less sugar, less carbs, and not over eating. (I am not overly active or a working out/gym person and that will probably never change, lol). Dr. Hsu noticed I lost weight at my last appointment and looked pleasantly surprised!! I plan on slowly losing about 5 more lbs. to be at my ideal weight and this would also help give me some slack since my weight fluctuates easily. Now I just need to be patient about my tummy tuck scars, which will probably be over a year before it starts to really fade with my type of skin. I do hate seeing that small vertical incision, but hands down I would choose to have these scars any day (as long as I was always in the hands of Dr. Hsu), over my previous body and also over a mini-tummy tuck. I honestly never imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that I could look like this. Even as a teenager, I was never the one to have a flat stomach or any curves whatsoever. Dr. Hsu really gave me new found confidence and changed my life. I sometimes feel like I’m living in someone else’s body now, lol. I bought so many new outfits and will for sure post some pics & vids of me in them next time!!
