I had liposuction and bbl in 2019. I was extremely burned and I do not feel like the doctor did enough to ensure that my burn would not look like this. It's been five years, the burn itches and hurts. I got it done in the Dominican Republic. background: lipo: July 2019- the pain was unbearable, I felt like my skin was burning from the inside out. January 2020: I became pregnant so a revision was out of the question. I am looking for a reconstructive plastic surgeon in CT to assist me.

Answer: Abdomen I am so very sorry that you had to go through this. A reconstructive plastic surgeon could insert tissue expanders to gain extra skin. Then the burned scar could be excised and leave you with a thinner and much less tender scar. Insurance might even possibly cover this expense.

Answer: Lipo burn Thank you Charming for posting your question here!I am sorry that you had to go through this, but don't despair , there is almost always something that can be done to improve things. In your case it is a little tricky since the scar is too high to take it out completely with a tummy tuck and too low for a reverse tummy tuck . but that being said , it can still be excised , given the size of it though you might end up needing to undergo serial excisions vs taking it all in one go, you will still have a scar , but if done right the scar will be minimal and much aesthetically pleasing. That being said the best way to assess you and to come up with a plan that is tailored to your needs is by visiting a plastic surgeon in person.I hope this helps , best of luck!

Answer: Best way to treat this.. I’m so sorry to hear and see about your situation. Absolutely no doubt the best way to treat this is to just do excisional scar revision. This could possibly be achieve in just one stage and have quite an amazing result. If there’s too much tension on the wound, the scar might widen a little, but could be revised in a second stage. You really should expect great cosmetic result in the hands of a good surgeon.
