I'm considering either a 330 moderate profile implant or a 360 high profile implant. I'm 5'2 110 pounds. I know the volume difference isn't much, just want to get an opinion if the high profile implant will look good on me. I read the it looks good on narrow chests but I'm not sure what is considered a narrow chest.
Answer: Would i be a good candidate for high profile implants? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Based on the supplied images alone you do appear to be a good candidate for high profile implants, depending on what goal outcome you are interested in approximating. Answer: What is "good" to you? it depends on what you think is “good”. Wish pics would be helpful for your surgeon to better understand your goals. High profile implants give more projection, so if that’s what your goal is then it may be suitable for you.

Answer: Implant selection From your photos either profile should look nice on you. It simply depends what you are wanting in terms of your final look. Many surgeons have sample implants that you can "try on" to get an idea of how you may look after surgery. This combined with your surgeon's expertise should help you select the right one.

Answer: Good candidate for high profile implants In my practice I view a high profile implant as a nice middle-of-the-road type of implant. Many times a moderate profile implant has a very wide diameter which can lead to side boob which is not always desired. There also tends to be less superior fullness with a moderate profile implant. To be honest, I rarely use them in my practice depending on a patient's objectives. It is true a high profile is especially valuable in someone with a thinner chest. However, there is no definition as to what that is as it varies with the frame of the patient, height, weight. At your consultation, your surgeon will measure certain distances including the distance from your nipple to your collarbone, the distance from the nipple to the crease below the breast and also the width of your breast. These numbers may influence the type or profile of implant.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Answer: Implant type Dear Eclectic661955, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
