Vaginal dryness and pain during intercourse after 6 sessions of laser hair removal in vaginal area

As a gynecologist with over 25 years experience, I often see dryness and pain with sex. If the pain is more internal, please see a gynecologist as it could be a lot of things--endometriosis, pelvic floor spasm. If it is external, it could be the products you are using since your laser hair removal.
I have women using "natural" products like goats milk soap or tea tree oil, and they develop a sensitivity over time. Even the most gentle soap can be drying. Minimize ANY products and apply a thin layer of aquafor after wiping, and then see a gynecologist if this does not get better.

You should consult with a gynecologist for an examination and determination of your vaginal dryness. Laser hair removal does not affect vaginal lubrication.

hello, vaginal dryness is not seen much after laser epilation. However, you may have a fungal infection after the laser. or the laser dose may be high for you. Before your remaining laser procedures, you must have a gynecological examination.

From what I can gather you are suffering form dyspareunia ( painful intercourse ) due to lack of lubrication that you think may be related to your laser hair removal. Although the possibility of the procedure leading to vaginal dryness is present it isnt high. if that is indeed the cause - then please refrain from further procedures for some time. Also causes for vaginal dryness can be sexual intercourse related as well so I would suggest that you get your gynaecologist consultation as well for a holistic approach. I would recommend a video consultation / in person consultation with a board certified Aesthetic Plastic surgeon to take this forward and thoroughly answer your query.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing. Typically there should be no effect on the vaginal area after laser hair removal. I encourage you to visit with your gynecologist to discuss your concerns. Postpone any further laser hair removal treatments until after your gynecology appointment.

Hello--thank you for your question. I'd like to first ask which technology your provider is using for LHR and if the provider is getting too close to your vaginal opening and/or clitoral area. Most LHR devices should in theory not affect vaginal lubrication or cause changes in the vulvo-vaginal anatomy or tissue to lead to pain with intercourse. As a Gynecologist, there are a few questions that first come to mind: is the pain you are experiencing due to being dry? Is the pain still present after using lubricant? Is the pain with penetration and/or internally? Is the pain positional? Do you respond to foreplay (ie. produce own lubrication)? Are there any other associated symptoms? Are you with a new partner?
My best advice is to go see your Gynecologist and be evaluated for any possible infections and/or "trauma." I have not had any of my own patients/clients who get LHR in their vulvo-vaginal areas complain of these symptoms. But then again, that area of the body is VERY familiar to me and my knowledge and skill set may set me apart in how I deliver LHR treatments to my patients/clients.

Most likely your Dermatologist, not necessarily savvy in the gynecologic anatomy of the Bartholin's Duct openings, has lasered over the openings of these glands, which supply that clead "slimy" layer of good goo that lubricates for lovemaking.
