Dear concern patientit seems this discoloration is a hypopigmentation skin of the vulva which can be a known side effect of the procedure.this said you need to see your gynecologist and have a biopsy to confirm.good luck and best of health
It is hard to say for sure based just on the picture, but this could be lichen sclerosus (LS), especially if it is itchy. This is not caused by the laser but can spontaneously occur. It is best diagnosed with a biopsy and very treatable. Vulvar biopsies can be quick and fairly painless with a skilled gynecologist. LS is treatable but it is a chronic condition.I have also seen vitiligo on the vulva. Do you have any other areas of your body with these kind of changes?
Thank you for your questionThe whitish discoloration may have several causes. You should visit your gynecologist to see it better and you may need a biopsy for diagnosis and determine treatment.
Hi,I am sorry you experienced this but heat from laser can hyper and hypo pigment the skin. There are many bleaching creams on the market that may help with improvement of the skin. I would recommend seeking out a practice that does "intimate bleaching" to try and improve the color of vulva to match the hypopigmented color.Good Luck.

I think any board-certified gynecologist should be able to remove this stitch. If you can feel it, then this should be feasible in the clinic.
