I had a total hysterectomy a year ago and my Vaginal feels completely loose. My cervix was removed, can I still get effective vaginal rejuvenation surgery?
Answer: Vaginal tightening post hysterectomy Good news, your hysterectomy has less to do with vaginal tightening than you might think. The biggest change that could effect your vagina post hysterectomy would be determined by whether or not you still have your ovaries, and how old you are. The estrogen provided by our ovaries is invaluable to our vagina’s health. Without estrogen the tone, moisture, and ability of our vagina to stretch and contract becomes less. Now loss of estrogen is an inevitable fact for all women, because once we go through menopause we lose estrogen. Just having a hysterectomy without an oophorectomy (ovary removal) should not have changed the tone of your vagina or make it loose. Vaginal rejuvenation surgery or a vaginoplasty would help restore the tightness to your vagina and the hysterectomy would not impede that in anyway. The surgeon stays in the walls of your vagina when doing a vaginoplasty and not having a cervix is of no consequence for the surgeon performing the surgery. I hope this has helped you, good luck.

CONTACT NOW Answer: What will help with excessive wetness and looseness? Hello, if your ovaries were removed during total hysterectomy, you also have estrogen deficiency. Surgery or laser will be beneficial for vaginal width. However, depending on your age and condition, you may also benefit from hormone replacement therapy at the appropriate dose.

Answer: Vaginal Rejuvenation Hello; you can still get vaginal rejuvenation as long as there was no mesh used during your procedure. It will help the dryness, and cause some tightening, and in some cases aids mild urinary incontinance.

Answer: I would suggest you see a gynecologist for a referral for this I usually recommend the patient see a gynecologist to discuss internal surgical tightening procedures. There are several devices that can be used to "rejuvenate" and these usually include CO2 laser and radiofrequency, technology. The results vary from patient to patient, but many experience significant improvement with tightening, restoring moisture, improving stress, incontinence, and increasing sensitivity. This is not a surgical correction for laxity, but can help.
