Good news, your hysterectomy has less to do with vaginal tightening than you might think. The biggest change that could effect your vagina post hysterectomy would be determined by whether or not you still have your ovaries, and how old you are. The estrogen provided by our ovaries is invaluable to our vagina’s health. Without estrogen the tone, moisture, and ability of our vagina to stretch and contract becomes less. Now loss of estrogen is an inevitable fact for all women, because once we go through menopause we lose estrogen. Just having a hysterectomy without an oophorectomy (ovary removal) should not have changed the tone of your vagina or make it loose. Vaginal rejuvenation surgery or a vaginoplasty would help restore the tightness to your vagina and the hysterectomy would not impede that in anyway. The surgeon stays in the walls of your vagina when doing a vaginoplasty and not having a cervix is of no consequence for the surgeon performing the surgery. I hope this has helped you, good luck.
Vaginal rejuvenation for vaginal tightening is called vaginoplasty. It can certainly be done whether you had a total hysterectomy (uterus + cervix removed), or a subtotal hysterectomy aka supracervical hysterectomy (uterus removed, cervix not removed). Hysterectomy surgery has nothing to do with vaginal tightening and it doesn't affect the quality of any vaginoplasty operation. Consider a virtual consultation with an expert for more details.

Hello, if your ovaries were removed during total hysterectomy, you also have estrogen deficiency. Surgery or laser will be beneficial for vaginal width. However, depending on your age and condition, you may also benefit from hormone replacement therapy at the appropriate dose.
I usually recommend the patient see a gynecologist to discuss internal surgical tightening procedures. There are several devices that can be used to "rejuvenate" and these usually include CO2 laser and radiofrequency, technology. The results vary from patient to patient, but many experience significant improvement with tightening, restoring moisture, improving stress, incontinence, and increasing sensitivity. This is not a surgical correction for laxity, but can help.
Dear concerned patient, depending on pelvic findings during the exam you can be offered surgical or nonsurgical treatment.each procedure does have its own risk and benefit. once you have been examined you will be offered once of the two and you can make your best decision.good luck and best of health.
Yes certainly. A vaginal rejuvenation can be surgical, which is called a vaginoplasty. It may also involve tightening the vaginal wall with devices that use radio-frequency or CO2 laser. It is important for you to consult an experienced cosmetic gynecologist or urogynecologist. Discuss all of your options and the results you desire.
Thank you for your questionAbsolutely. The vagina is like a rectangular box connected on all six sides. Whether or not the cervix is removed it still keeps that essential form. Look for an experienced surgeon who understands vaginal anatomy, can evaluate the defects leading to your sensation of looseness and can individually repair those defects. Do your homework to find someone who can get it right the first time.See realself info on vaginoplasty for more info.

It is hard to say for sure based just on the picture, but this could be lichen sclerosus (LS), especially if it is itchy. This is not caused by the laser but can spontaneously occur. It is best diagnosed with a biopsy and very treatable. Vulvar biopsies can be quick and fairly painless with a...
In case of complications after vaginoplasty, if the stitches are damaged along with the hamatoma accumulated inside, it may be necessary to re-stitch. However, most of the time there is no problem with the stitches and the hematoma regresses on its own. and then there is a normal post-operative...
