Dear physicians, The left side of my face is sagging more and more. I have already tried to have the face tightened by laser, which led to a loss of fat and made everything worse. A brow lift with Botox also resulted in extremely sunken eyebrows. Also fillers do not bring the desired success. Thread lift or all treatments with heat/cold I do not want. My question: Is it possible to correct this asymmetry with a facelift?

Answer: Why a dual approach may be right for you Thank you for your question and photo. You may benefit from a mini facelift combined with a fat transfer to create a lifted, more symmetrical appearance. A mini facelift can tighten your skin and underlying muscles while bringing them into balance. Combining a facial fat transfer with this procedure may enhance your results by adding subtle volume where needed to promote further symmetry and create a naturally youthful result. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns with you, review your treatment history, and help you decide on the best course of action.

Answer: Treatment for Asymmetric Facial Sagging Yes, I do think a facelift would help improve your asymmetric sagging of facial skin and soft tissues. Obviously, the side that sags more would need to be lifted and supported more than the other side. I have even performed a one-sided facelift on a patient who had developed one-sided facial palsy. However, an examination might also reveal that your bone structure is different on the two sides, and so adding volume with either fat grafting or long-lasting fillers could be a useful adjunct to surgery.
