No swelling or change after SMAS face lift

Question

I did SMAS lift in india in Jan 2022 . When I woke up I had no swelling no change except for some stitches near my hair line above ear and blood in my hair ofcourse from those stitches.doc said he will do again and under GA he did another procedure after two weeks.still no change. I did this surgery to lift my cheeks n I kno him for a while n trust..I hv no sagging. He removed extra skin he said. Pls tell me it’s possible to have no swelling after two SMAS lifts in one month? I will be thankful

Photos before and after are needed to see if anything was accomplished. Facelifts General don’t swell a lot so it is possible for there to be little or no swelling. The question is dues your face feel tighter ?

It seems you had a 30 year old procedure called a temporal tuck. It was likely not a full SMAS lift. At the most it might’ve involved a high SMAS plication near the temporal hairline which is not a complete SMAS lift or at the least, it was skin only. If you had no swelling, it was likely a skin only procedure but this is only a guess.

Dear Cheerful - thank you for your question.  It would be very unusual to have no swelling after any facelift - SMAS or otherwise.  Not sure what was done, but you might check with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to get more information.
