Could afacelift give me similar results that you see in this pic? I have cheekbone but always had so much excess fat and skin on the lower have of my face(jowls)(even though i eat healthy work out sleep enough.drink tons of water.. its always bothered me but now that i am getting older its getting much worse, and its really getting to me now.
Answer: Yes, absolutely Hello and thank you for your question. From what I can tell based on the picture you provided, there is some minimal jowling on your right side, and potentially also on the left when you are not pulling on things. For all of us, as we age the soft tissues of the face start to descend and we lose volume from fat atrophy and bone loss, resulting in the characteristic changes of facial aging. I cannot really see your neck. To answer your question, a facelift would definitely be able to address the jowling, improve your jaw's definition, and address other age-related changes you're concerned with. Facelifts can also help address some facial asymmetries, and is sometimes combined with facial fat grafting, which can help further correct any asymmetries, refine face shape, and restore overall harmony in the rejuvenated face. In your case, I'd recommend a facelift and possibly also facial fat grafting (during the same surgery). With that said, it is difficult to provide tentative surgical recommendations, as there is only so much information to be gained from the single photo you have provided. I recommend for you to come see me or another plastic surgeon for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) for your specific case. I hope this helps! Best wishes, Dr. Donald Groves Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Possible Results With A Facelift Thank you for your question. As we get older, unfortunately it's natural for people to see some aging changes. Usually these changes can include visible skin laxity, formation of jowls, and sagging cheeks and can affect individuals even at an early age. Based on your photo, it's difficult to determine if you would be a good candidate for a facelift at this point and additional pictures would be helpful. However, based on the description of your concerns, a mini facelift procedure might be a good option for you. A mini lift is a procedure best suited for early aging changes and can help restore a smooth jawline, remove and tighten excess skin and lift and improve cheek contour for an overall more youthful appearance. We recommend seeking a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon to determine the best option for you at this time. Best wishes! Dr. Konstantin

Answer: Could A Facelift Yes, a facelift/necklift would provide the results that you are simulating. Most patients that need a facelift will perform that exact same hand maneuver in the consultation; it is a good indicator of a patient that would benefit from a facelift/necklift. I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon with 6 years of plastic surgery residency training and a year of aesthetic fellowship training to ensure that you find an individual with adequate training in this very important area of the body.

Answer: Why a mini facelift may be right for you Thank you for your question and photo. You may be a candidate for a mini facelift to produce the effect you’re looking for. This procedure can reduce early signs of aging, such as jowl formation and mild skin laxity, for a smoother and more youthful appearance. Excess fat and skin can be removed and the rest of your skin tightened to accentuate your cheekbones and angulate your jawline to create a rejuvenated result. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you to help you decide on the best treatment option.
