I'm 3 weeks ago post. I wanted big C or small D but natural looking. I work out and I'm a teacher so kind of conservative. My Surgeon used 450 cc in left and 475cc in right Allergen 20 HP. Now I am depressed. They look huge and super fake. I'm going to Hawaii in July for a once in a lifetime trip and I don't even want to take pictures with these [RS bleep] star boobs. Will they drop or will I really have a [RS bleep] star look. You can be honest with me because I'm seriously considering a revision.
Answer: Are These 450/475cc Implants Too Big for my 5'3, 134 pd. Frame? Considering Revision ASAP. (photos) Thank you for your question and photographs, and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated. Remember though that after placement of implants, the overall appearance of the breasts will change dramatically as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. In your case swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. Though the overall volume will not change, the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast and your swelling will resolve, leaving a more natural appearance. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hope this helps.

Answer: Proportionality of augment Hello! I would recommend you give the surgery time to settle to allow all of the swelling to come down. There is no harm in exchanging implants for size, but you might want to try to let the results be more clear. I would recommend you give these implants at least 3 months. Don't worry - the exchange is an annoyance but will not impact long term outcomes.Good luck!

Answer: Augment concerns It is way too early to begin panicking and planning for revision. At three weeks out, it would be very uncommon for a breast result to appear natural in any way. The tissues are stretched and have just been inflated and have yet to had a chance to accommodate and settle. At this stage, you are still early in the healing process. The final result for a breast augmentation or Lift is never really judged until several months from the procedure. Typically, I will wait 6 months before I assess the results. Of course, it can be difficult to be patient while awaiting a result for such a long time, especially when you are excited. But, keep in mind that living human tissues are different than sculpting with plastic or sewing with cloth. Those substances are fixed and don't change much with time. Human tissues, on the other hand, stretch, spread, settle, and change as they go through the different stages of healing. This process takes time and as it proceeds, your result will change until the healing is complete. You may very well be thrilled with your result come JulyThis is why plastic surgeons will always advise patience for the first few months after these procedures. In the meantime, keep in close contact with your plastic surgeon and he/she can assure you that things are proceeding in the right direction.I hope this info helps!Best of Luck, Dr. SubbioPhiladelphia/Newtown SquareBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Implants Too Big for me? I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you have after your procedure. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. There are both physiological and “psychological” reasons to wait on having revisionary surgery. From the physiological standpoint, it takes many months (and even up to one year) to see the final results of surgery. factors such as swelling, tissue contraction, skin redraping, implant shifting etc. come into play. From the psychological standpoint, patients undergo an “adaptation period" during which time they get used to the changes that the surgical procedure has brought about. Severe emotional swings can also occur after any type of surgical procedure. Obviously, it is best for patients not to be making important decisions ( for example about the results of surgery and/or the need for additional surgery) while they are experiencing these emotional “ups and downs”. In your case, I would suggest continued patience. Continue to follow-up with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

Answer: Implants The implants look fine. If you feel that they are too big for you then they can always be exchanged. They will change over the next few months as the swelling goes away and they settle a bit more.
