Thank you for your question! For my patients having a tummy tuck and BBL procedure, I recommend they lay on their sides, in the fetal position post surgery. This keeps pressure off of the buttocks and tension off of the incisions. Best of luck!
This is something to discuss with your surgeon who knows you best. I have my patients sleep on their side. Good luck.
Tummy tuck and BBL should not be combined. One requires you to recover sleeping on your back and one requires you to recover sleeping on your front. If you were to have both at one time there would be no way to avoid affecting the results of one of the procedures, possibly both. Its much better to separate the two procedures, I personally suggest having the BBL first so that as much fat as possible can be removed from the abdomen and then the remaining loose skin can be excised in about 3 months when you have the TT.
Hello Boobgang. I recommend sleeping on your side alternate with curling up like V shape in 1-2 weeks. When you walk, bend a bit forwards and mind when you sit. The wound on butt area might be tight. I hope this is helpful. / Dr. Kanit W. Thailand
Following a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) with fat grafting procedure it is important to avoid applying pressure on any area where fat was grafted for at least 6-8 weeks. These grafts are very pressure sensitive, as pressure decreases local blood flow which then potentially compromises your results.Additionally our patients are advised not to sit for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they are permitted to sit on our “Dr. Curves Curve Cushion” which will allow patient's to sit comfortably without applying pressure to their buttocks. Generally, there are no contraindications to lying on your stomach following a tummy tuck. As Always, It is important that you discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon.
Dear Boobgang,Thanks for the question. Lately, I am doing more and more of the liposuction/tummy tuck/BBL procedures together. I allow my patients to sleep on their back after the procedure without any problems of fat malposition.Every surgeon is different in their instructions.Good luck with your decision.Dr T
Hi. You should sleep on your back, it will not compromised at all your BBL. That is entirely a mith : not to sleep over your butt after a BBL, forget about it. I combined these procedures all the time and fat never migrates from where its been placed, neither normal reabsorption has to do with posture.International Member of the American Society of Plastic SurgeonsMember of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It may be possible to have a tummy tuck with your aortic aneurysm, but you need to see your vascular surgeon first to make sure elective surgery is safe.
