I have had four procedures done by Dr. Greer. Dr. Greer, her office staff and her surgery staff are knowledgeable, professional and very, very kind. I like how honest and confident Dr. Greer is in her craft. She is also funny, down to earth and highly intelligent. Her bedside manner is bar none! The entire process, from consultations to surgery to follow up care, was a great experience. She listens to your concerns and tells you what can be done. She has no problem being accessible to patients (even consults when they may not choose her to perform the surgery). She answered every panicked text or phone call post surgery no matter what time it was... literally! Her post op sheet is concise and helpful for caretakers. The office is clean and friendly. If you are thinking about plastic surgery, do all your research, and bring your questions, goal photos, etc. to your consult. Dr. Greer will answer every question and form a plan to get you to goal. You will be well taken care of in the hands of Dr. Greer and her staff!
Like soooo many other reviews, she is absolutely wonderful! Kind, compassionate, and she is really cool. I went to her for a minor 'nip-tuck'. Not a very well known procedure (brachioplasty) bc all I wanted was a very minor modification to make my arms look more trim in front. I did not want the full on incision from armpit to elbow. She figured it out and voila! I was in and out in under 2 hours with no complications and post procedure, I am very happy with the look. Her staff is very attentive and very nice!
I highly recommend Dr. Greer. She is meticulous and went above and beyond. She made sure. I was happy with the results and didn't quit until it met her standards. She has a very comfortable setting with an amazing staff.
Always a pleasant experience any time I go to the office! I was hesitating for years on getting this procedure done but the minute I met Dr Greer my mind was put to ease! I highly recommend her! She never pressured me and it was completely my decision!
There are not enough words to describe Dr. Greer. She makes you feel so comfortable, and at ease, every step of the way. She was so informative, helpful, and nicest person I have ever encountered. My results were beyond any expectations. Thank you Dr. Greer!
I'm giving this review only 10-days post op, so I full expect this will not be the final form of my review. I want to star documenting now, however, so I don't lose track of the day-to-day. I selected Dr Jennifer Greer, Mentor, OH for my mastopexy (breast lift) with implants, and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). I have wanted to improve the appearance of my breasts from a very young age, due to unevenness, undesirable shape and small size. By the time I reached my early 40s, and after having two kids, the sagging made me dislike their appearance even more. After spending some time focusing on health, working out and dropping some weight, I finally felt I was deserving of plastic surgery to improve how I felt about myself. I also decided to explore the option of getting a tummy tuck at the same time. I invested a ton of time into researching these procedures, listened to podcasts, read reviews, and ultimately decided that a diastasis repair and skin removal would not only improve my appearance, but would likely help improve my core strength and hopefully even help with bladder leakage. I met with two surgeons in my area. Dr Greer stood out because she listened to what I wanted (rather than telling me what I should want) and made me feel so comfortable. She is extremely knowledgeable. (Check her out on TikTok and Instagram... Tons of helpful information in her videos). In preparation for surgery, I really focused on strength training and optimizing my health. By the day of surgery I was at a comfortable weight (for me) and felt as prepared as I ever would be. Surgery went fine (4 1/2-ish hours). I was given a patch to put behind my ear to prevent nausea. Moving around immediately after surgery is seriously no joke! I got home and spent the evening in my recliner and let my family take care of me. As long as I was't moving, I wasn't in pain. I took one oxy to sleep that night, and never needed one after. Over the next two-three days I started to figure out how to get around without help. The pain was very well managed. The only really painful moments have been coughing/sneezing. Fast forward to day 8 and I was able to shower alone (after we rigged up my drain) and got out of the house a few times that weekend. My incisions are all healing nicely. I can' wait to see my belly button once the gauze and tape falls off. I am amazed at how the healing process has been and am loving my new figure so far!! I truly can't say enough about Dr Greer and her team. I look forward to updating this review when I'm all healed! Updated on 3 Dec 2023: I’m 23 days post op today. I am so pleased with the recovery process and my results are phenomenal! I bought this bathing suit 10+ years ago, just to have the top to wear under tanks, etc. Never in a million years did I believe my post baby body would wear this alone. It is amazing and I think Dr Greer is outstanding! Updated on 5 Jan 2024: At 8 weeks post op, my scars are healing well and swelling is significantly improved. I’m thrilled with my tummy tuck. My implants are still sitting high, so I’m anxious to speak with my surgeon next month to discuss. I’m very pleased, just hoping the implants will settle under the pectoral muscles in the coming month.
I had fabulous results !!! I’m so happy I did it. Dr Greer is amazing. Her staff is top notch. I highly recommend Dr. Greer for any of your plastic surgery needs. She’s positive, patient, knowledgeable and very talented.
I have had 2 surgeries by Dr. Greer. In 2021, I had a tummy tuck, and in 2022, I went back for my breast augmentation. I think having a doctor who works with you rather than just for you is so important. Dr. Greer was kind, caring, and listened to all of my concerns. She gave me her number so that I could text or call her if I had any questions or anxieties about the procedures. For both surgeries, she called and checked in on me afterward, letting me know how the surgery went from her perspective and making sure I was feeling okay. This ended up being really helpful with my tummy tuck because I had a difficult time swallowing/getting food down that day and threw up all of my meds due to an empty stomach. It was nice to be able to talk to her and ask which meds I needed to take again and which ones were okay to skip a dose. After recovering from my tummy tuck, I was not super happy with my belly button. I actually sort of hated it. You could see the scarring all the way around, and the whole thing was almost completely flat. I know that everyone's body and skin reacts differently, and my belly button became so shallow and thin after my pregnancy, so I was feeling stressed and worried that it wasn't fixable. I shared this with Dr. Greer and she scheduled me for an in office revision at no additional cost (within 1yr of the surgery). The revision was easy. She addressed all the things I disliked and did her best to fix them. She gave it more shape, tucked the scars in, and was able to make it look cute and much better. My breast augmentation went even smoother than the tummy tuck did (it is an easier surgery to recover from, so that helps). My boobs were always so uneven before. When I breastfed, they got up to 2 sizes different at one point. Dr. Greer was not completely convinced that they were THAT different. They were small and almost flat pre-op, so that might've made it hard to tell. We discussed maybe doing 50ccs different but I was worried it wouldn't be enough. She reassured me that during the surgery she would be able to test out sizes and she would make sure they were even before committing to any. We picked out a cup size goal, and during surgery, she did her thing. I ended up with 400ccs in the smaller one and 295ccs in the larger one. They are also different profiles. She definitely listened to me and they are the perfect size and so even that I now sometimes forget which was the small one before! My results from both surgeries have been life changing! I will continue to go back to Dr. Greer and her team in the future. As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway
Dr. Greer is a rare find ! It was really important to me to find a female surgeon as I started my journey investigating breast implant removal and lift surgery. I was very fortunate to find Dr Greer so close to home. I was impressed by her calm and patient nature. She compassionately listened as we discussed my concerns. I am healing from a recent explant and lift and am so pleased with the results thus far. Dr. Greer’s professional staff is very supportive as well, answering my questions along the way. If you’re considering breast surgery, I would definitely recommend Dr. Jennifer Greer!
Dr Greer is extremely educated and knowledgeable. Her and her staff take great pride in what they do and they made me feel 100% safe and comfortable! I absolutely love my results and I will return to her if I choose do have any procedures done in the future!
There are actually three kinds of tummy tuck: 1) regular. This has a hip-to-hip scar and a scar around the belly button. The muscles are repaired above and below the belly button, and the excess skin is removed. 2) Mini. extra skin below the belly button is removed, and the muscles may or may not be removed below the belly button, 3) Fleur-di-lis. This is a regular tummy tuck with an added vertical incision. This is great for people who have lost 80-100 lbs, but it would be overkill for you Based on your pictures a traditional tummy tuck would be the best option.
This is a great question! I do monsplasty as part of all my abdominoplasty surgeries- I do lipo over the area if needed, and make the abdominoplasty incision lower so that the mons is lifted. But... not all surgeons do this. And if you have surgery with someone who isn't "mons aware" it could result in this area looking puffy below your newly flat tummy. I definitely recommend bringing this up at your consultation!
Tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty surgery, addresses loose skin and separated muscles (rectus diastasis). Both of these are visible in your photo. Unfortunately there's no way to get the results of a tummy tuck without surgery. The recovery can be tough for the first couple of weeks. But seeing a surgeon who offers drainless abdominoplasty surgery with nerve blocks can really make the recovery easier. I offer drainless tummy tucks for patients with a BMI below 30, and I do nerve blocks on all of my patients. Surgery is outpatient- so you go home the same day.
The answer to your question depends on what kind of stents you have. If you have drug-eluting stents you may need to stay on aspirin for the rest of your life. This would make liposuction unsafe. If you have bare metal stents then you may be able to come off aspirin for surgery. I would check with your cardiologist before seeing a plastic surgeon, and if you have had a heart attack within the last year it may be best to wait on any elective surgery. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for the excellent question. Breast implant illness is a topic gaining traction on the internet, but unfortunately the actual scientific data is still lacking. Breast implant illness is a term used by women who have symptoms they attributed to their breast implants. But it’s not a true medical term. So far in the studies that have looked at women with these symptoms, there are no commonalities. So no labs that are consistently abnormal, and no symptoms that are common among all (or a large proportion of) these women.Because we haven't really defined what breast implant illness is, we don't know how common it is either. And it seems there may be a lot of overlap with autoimmune diseases like fibromyalgia and celiac, which confuses the picture a bit. So what should you do? I can tell you from my perspective as a surgeon who does a lot of implants, I wouldn't hesitate to get silicone or saline implants myself, or to recommend them to my family. Best of luck to you, and you can check out my blog post to get more info.
