I got a certificate for a "mini" lip treatment for Xmas, but I don't want a subtle change, I want nice fuller lips, that don't look like Lisa Rinna! I have a consultation next week. I'm scared of cost as the mini seemed over priced at $310! But seems like such a waste to not get results I want. A lot of videos and reviews I've seen have shown better results with Restylene whereas juvederm seemed less noticeable. Advice?! Here are my lips now, as you can see they aren't symmetrical either.
Answer: Lip Augmentation Results with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) You will get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. I recommend getting a formal consultation to go over your desired results. Restylane is a more robust filler. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Better results... Thanks for your question. I suggest you see an experienced injector where you can use your certificate to pay for part of the treatment and you may have to cover the rest out of pocket to get the results you want. Most of my patients, start out with 1 syringe. Restylane and Juvederm are hydrophyllic filers so they both can lead to fuller lips. If you feel Restylane results are more appealing then go for Restylane.

Answer: Price does not make a good service. This is not at all a good treatment for coupons. These are individualized treatments that need to be done artfully. Unfortunately the medispas may not provide the detailed service you are likely to need. Mini might mean that for the cost, you are getting less material. Juvederm is a smooth filler that many injectors like because bumps it makes tend to fix themselves. This also means that product can drift into places not anticipated (think lip shelf), Restylane needs to be sculpted in place which requires a high skill level. However this product hold where it is placed. I encourage you to spend more money, find the right injector, and get the service that you need.

Answer: Mini lip treatment Hi there, it sounds like you are looking for fairly full lips. This usually means needing 1-2 mL's or syringes of filler material. Pricing for lip fillers are based on amount of material used, so you'll need to keep that in mind. Be sure to let your injector know what type of lips you are looking for in advance and listen to their recommendations. As for Restylane versus Juvederm, both are fine for lip filler and last about the same length of time. There may be slight variations in cost per syringe. In my experience, Juvederm tends to cause slightly more puffiness for the first week or so after treatment, compared to Restylane. Things tend to even out after that and it's hard to tell the difference once the initial edema has settled. Hope this helps!

Answer: Enhancing the lips with filler I think the outcome of lip injections is most dependant on the injector. I use Restylane Silk and now Restylane Refyne for lips. Large lips will require more than a "mini lip" enhancement can do. At that price, you are probably getting a 1/2 of a syringe. I would suggest 1 syringe, and then a second one about 2 weeks later.
