How safe is giving a patient a shot of Demerol & 10mg of valium before a mini face lift? I've read that taking both is dangerous

I went for a consult for a mini face lift and I was told a shot of demerol and valium will be given. I am very sensitive to medicines and have histamine issues. So after researching, i read that giving both can be dangerous because it can suppress breathing?

You would benefit from a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

I don’t care for fat grafting in the face. It will maintain swelling linger with fat grafting and probably not accomplish much anyway

You could benefit from a mini facelift and possibly a lip lift with a corner lift. See my pictures. Reducing the long philtrum offers magical results.

I think a mini facelift and some micro liposuction of the area under your chin can definitely hep your jaw line. Your chin appears small but there is always a ratio between the philtrum and the distance from you lip to the chin. In your situation your philtrum is too long and it throws off that...
