Can the Miradry procedure affect my ability to breastfeed?

I have successfully nursed twins, and we are considering a having third child. I would also like to nurse this child. Does the MiraDry procedure have any potential to harm mammary glands or negatively affect a woman’s ability to breastfeed?

Hi there and thanks for your question! Miradry uses energy to directly target and eliminate your sweat glands in your underarm area.  It does not effect your breast glands, lymph nodes, or other important structures in the axillary area.  You are safe to breastfeed after your treatment.  Best of luck with your future pregnancy!

Great question!  Miradry is a great treatment to permanently reduce under-arm sweat. It treats the skin in the underarm with energy directed to the level of 4mm which is where the sweat glands are. There is no affect on the breast tissue and therefore does not interfere with breastfeeding. Congratulations on your twins and I wish you well with your next pregnancy!
