Hello,Thank you for your question. Unfortunately at this time, miraDry is only available for the Axilla area. Please consult with a local physician to discuss what other options you may consider. Good luck!
Miradry for excessive sweating of the face is not yet available. Only approved and used for underarm sweating.
Thank you for your question.Unfortunately the MiraDry procedure cannot be performed on the face. The machine is currently only able to treat under arm sweating.
NO! NO! NO! MiraDry is not designed for the face! However, Botox and Dysport both work extremely well for the face and scalp areas which are the areas sweating the most during a workout. Have a formal consultation to find out more.Good luck. Dr. ALDO
Hi, thank you for your question! MiraDry is the first and only FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that safely and effectively reduces excess underarm sweat and odor. Patients typically see an 80% sweat reduction, 60% odor reduction, and a 50% hair reduction at 12 months. The treatment is noninvasive and takes about three hours to complete. Most patients see results after one treatment, though a second may be needed to reach the desired effects. The miraDry system targets and destroys sweat and odor glands in your underarms. These glands do not grow back once they are destroyed. MiraDry's proprietary MiraWave technology is the ideal wavelength for eliminating sweat and odor glands in the underarm. It non-invasively targets the area where the sweat glands reside and safely destroys them while cooling your skin for added comfort. Miradry is not FDA approved for any other area of the body at this time. I would recommend having an in person consultation with a certified injector. Botox is something that you can look into for facial sweating.
Currently miraDry is FDA approved for the underarms only and they do not make a tip that would work for the face. But, in our office we have had success with small amounts of Botox or Dysport in the face/forehead/scalp line for facial sweating. See a board Certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon in your area for a consultation.
Unfortunately, with the current miraDry template and protocols, it can only be used on the underarms. Supposedly the company is working on protocols for the hands and feet.
Hi and thank you for your question! MiraDry is only approved to treat the underarm area at this time. It significantly and permanently reduces sweating and odor by 70-90% after 1-2 treatments! Patients also get the benefit of hair reduction (of all colors) by almost 70%. It is FDA approved and we treat many patients who no longer have to wear deodorant! Best, Dr. Grant Stevens
No it cannot be used on the face. The applicator is used to treat the underarm. It is not not designed or cleared for use on other areas of the body.
Thank you for your question. According to the FDA, miraDry is approved in the United States for use of axillary hyperhidrosis (underarm excessive sweating). Unfortunately miraDry is not yet "approved" or optimized for use to treat excessive sweating on other areas of the body such as hands, feet or face. However, there are other treatment plans such as with Botox or Dysport depending on which type of hyperhidrosis of the face you are experiencing. Please check with our website for any future approved uses for miraDry.
