My lumps have come back three weeks after receiving MiraDry? (photo)

I had MiraDry done about three weeks ago and I was doing really well my swelling had gone almost entirely down but they were still numb. About two days ago I regained almost all of my feeling. However, yesterday on my left side the swelling reflamed except more painful. I'm really afraid of infection and not sure if it's just normal.

Thank you for your question about miraDry. I would return to the office that performed the procedure for a follow up. Typically, we do not see the swelling reoccur after resolving from the initial treatment. If you returned to a more active lifestyle and resumed all physical activity that could be the reason for the rebound swelling. It is always best to follow up with your provider just to be sure.

Im sorry to say that it is unusual for patients to get recurrent bumps, swelling, and redness after MiraDry.  By three weeks, you should be healed and not having any residual symptoms.  I recommend seeing a doctor to rule out an infection or cysts.  Best of luck and feel better!

This is an unusual presentation. The photo that you have shown would expected in the first day or two after Miradry for most patients. Since you seem to have resolved your swelling and then it returned, you should probably show the results to your treating physician. It is very uncommon to see infection associated with Miradry, but anything is possible.

The redness in your skin should be evaluated by your treating physician. There's no way to make the diagnosis of infection online, but given your recent history I would be highly concerned.

It is not typical for swelling to re occur once it has resolved, I would recommend you return to your healthcare provider asap to be sure you don't have an infection. Best of luck!

Swelling returning is unusual.  From the small photo, there appears to be some redness.  You should return to the physician who performed it.  This could be an infection that may need treatment.

Infection is very uncommon with miradry- especially 3 weeks out..... I would return to the provider who performed it. I have seen milder versions of swelling that returned but lets be sure you aren't developing infection or another complication.

I would recommend follow up with the physician who treated you. This may be an infection (abscess) which can occur after miraDry. If it is an abscess, it will need to be incised and drained.
