I'm off all pain meds but still have drains in. Should I wait till those come out ?
Answer: Resuming activity You will be able to walk around your house right away. Resuming a slow walk around the block for example should wait for a couple of weeks. Restrictions typically end at six weeks and you can return to normal activity. This should all first be cleared by your surgeon who is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.

Answer: Mommy Makeover - Post-Op Return to Walking? Thanks for your excellent question. I encourage my patients to begin walking on the evening of surgery and then continue walking for at least 15 minutes several times per day. This helps prevent blood clots in your legs, improves your gut motility, and helps expand your lungs. Please ask your board certified plastic surgeon for specific recommendations. Hope this helps.

Answer: Walking after mommy makeover Thanks for your question. Walking as soon as you can after surgery, either the day of surgery or the day after surgery (with assistance if needed) has many benefits, including the prevention of blood clots in your legs, improving breathing, and also improving your gut mobility, especially if you are taking narcotic pain medications which can cause constipation. Consult your plastic surgeon for their individualized recommendations after your surgery. Hope this helps..best of luck!

Answer: Mommy Makeover / Tummy Tuck / Liposuction / Breast Augmentation/Breast Implants I appreciate your question.I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time. I have my patients up and walking with assistance the same day of their surgery. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.Best of luck! Dr Schwartz
