Breast augmentation, all-inclusive, for $8,903
From the first phone call to even schedule the consultation, I had a good feeling about Sound Plastic Surgery. At my first consultation I felt welcomed and everyone here is very professional. Everything is patient-initiated. Not once did they suggest I needed any type of work done, so I felt I could just get what I came in for without being upsold or creating insecurities about things I hadn’t noticed were “problems.” Joshua Cooper informed me about everything having to do with the procedure, recovery, etc. He answered any questions I had or would have had. The procedure: The breast augmentation was a quick procedure and everything went well. Even though the implants sit high right after surgery, I could still tell I was happy with the size and look of them. Recovering: Pain was easily managed with the prescribed medication and ibuprofen for the first couple days and then I only needed ibuprofen for about a week after. (I also had a great support person at home cooking me food and letting me sleep.) Dr. Cooper called later that night to see how I was doing. I believe he called again within the next couple of days as well (or maybe I called them) but I don’t remember as this was 3 months ago! The one week post op appointment was reassuring as I was so worried about doing something physical that would mess them up. The results: It has been 3 months and my breasts continue to feel softer and they look great! Also, some perks that came with the natrelle implants were a complimentary 50 units of Botox so I tried it just for the heck of it and I’m happy with those results as well. So now, I’ll continue to go to Sound Plastic Surgery for those treatments even though it’s an hour drive, simply because I trust these people!
My experience with Dr. Cooper and his team has exceeded all my expectations. Dr. Cooper is very thoughtful, honest, and highly skilled at what he does. Throughout the entire process, he was extremely thorough in his explanations and took the time to listen to all my concerns and questions. He was very honest and fair, never pushed additional procedures or made me feel uncomfortable. I was well informed of what to expect during the recovery process, and Dr. Cooper and his team were readily available if I ever had any additional questions. Dr. Cooper did a phenomenal job and I couldn’t be happier with my results.
Dr. Cooper did a great job with my breast Aug! I’m so pleased with my results. I had gone to three consultations before deciding upon Dr. Cooper and Sound Plastic Surgery. I’m a healthcare professional myself (Dentist) and I know that healthcare is never exact and doctors try to do their best to do clinically satisfactory work that also makes patients happy. That’s what I try to do for my patients, and I appreciate that Dr. Cooper does the same. He did a really good job of explaining the risks and benefits of the procedure, how he performs his chosen method of dual-plane surgeries, and gave me a realistic expectation of what the healing process would be like/what my chest could look like after surgery. My healing was not bad overall and after my boobs did some major dropping and fluffing at around week 8, I really got to see the beauty of my new chest. I’m almost 6 months post-op now and it’s hard to remember what my boobs looked like before. They look and feel amazing. So happy with the results!! TLDR; My results are great, my boobs are rocking, and I’m so glad I finally did it. Definitely would recommend Sound Plastic Surgery and Dr. Cooper to anybody else interested in breast Aug or other surgeries.
I choose Dr. Cooper for a multitude of reasons. He has amazing reviews, before and after photos reflect his work, and he seemed very kind and genuine during our initial consult. I’m so happy I chose him. He was patient and kind every step of the way. He always left time for questions and answered everything thoroughly never once making me feel rushed or that my questions were unimportant. He was willing to come in on the weekend when I had concerns and was so compassionate when I had a minor complication. I’m only 7 weeks post op from my mommy makeover including a breast lift with augmentation, and tummy tuck and I’m already so pleased with my results. The surgery center staff was so caring, his entire office staff are so warm and helpful, and continue to be responsive and helpful even after my procedure. I would highly recommend him and his wonderful staff to anyone who is looking for a doctor whose skill matches his bedside manner. You couldn’t be in better hands!
Dr Cooper is a great surgeon. Had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast reduction in April 2023. He made sure to explain everything thoroughly. He understood what I wanted in size for my reduction and I felt like I was in good hands. I was well taken care of by his team on surgery day. So far he has been there for each of my follow up appointments to make sure I have been healing well. Everyone at the clinic is very kind and I am so happy I chose them for my surgery. I have a lot of healing yet to go but I know I am in good hands throughout this process
I'm currently two days post-op and thought it would be a great time to leave a review on my experience with Sound Plastic Surgery. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Cooper and his team. From start to finish I felt comfortable, heard, and cared-for which made it very easy to put my trust with them. It did not disappoint either! Although it's two days post-op I'm already loving the results. They have a very hands on approach, which I loved. Dr. Cooper is very involved in the consultations and pre-op appointments and even makes sure to call before and after the operation. Anna is the biggest help with sizing (even squeezed me in for an extra appointment when I needed some reassurance) and is so comfortable to be around. She just "gets it". The entire team at the surgery center was also kick ass. The nurses were so kind and I felt like I was in such great care with them. Additionally, the anesthesiologist makes a point to come in prior to introduce himself and go through the pros, cons and risks of anesthesia, which was nice. Overall 10/10 experience and I couldn't recommend them more. Updated on 19 Jan 2023: height: 5’7” weight: 122 BWD: 11.5 or 11 (I forget which) Pre-op size: 32a/aa My goal with my BA was really to go from nothing to something. I have a small frame and wanted something natural that I could play up or play down (definitely closer to a “mini” BA than anything else). I decided on 210cc Smooth Round Natrelle implants which I believe were about two implant sizes below what my BWD aligns to on the size chart. I went through all of the emotions of first worrying that they’d be too big, and then worrying that they’d be too small. Much of this stress stemmed from looking at too many before/afters on here and becoming unsure of what my result would be. Ultimately I leaned on how they looked and felt on me when I tried the sizers on, and also put my trust in Dr. Cooper and the team that they understood my goals. My advice would be to not get too wrapped up in others results on here, as everyones will be different. The most important thing is to work closely with your provider until you feel confident in the choice. However, I’ve decided to recap my journey because it was SO HARD finding results, reassurance, and inspo for small volume implants (especially with my stats - I tend to be much taller than a lot of the women I saw getting 210cc). Hope this helps someone!
I have had an incredible experience with Dr Cooper. After breastfeeding twins for 14 months my breast tissue was extremely deflated. I was told I was borderline a lift and opted to go without. I just wanted natural looking breasts.. can bags of skin. Throughout the experience, from consult to 5mo post op, I’ve felt heard and well cared for. I told him what I wanted, and he never pushed me to do anything else. I never at any point felt I was being sold something. He was very involved in my entire surgical experience and 98% of the time I spoke to him directly, the other small percentage I spoke to his wonderful staff. My experience (BA) was very very mild pain (less pain when compared to breastfeeding pain) and little to no scarring. I can’t not recommend him enough, after several years of searching for the best surgeon, I found him!
Dr. Cooper was amazing from day one. He spent a lot of time with me answering all my questions, and I felt comfortable with him performing the procedure. Everything went smoothly, and he achieved exactly what I was hoping for, which is a reconstruction of what my boobs looked like pre-babies. I didn't want bigger boobs, just a fuller shape and to replace volume loss due to breastfeeding.
My experience with Dr. Cooper and everyone at Sound Plastic Surgery was amazing. They made me feel super comfortable. Dr. Cooper always had his female medical assistant in the room when I was not clothed, which i thought was really respectful. I wanted a smaller reduction (not going to a super small size after) and Dr. Cooper was able to accommodate exactly what I wanted. Even the smaller reduction has been life changing! No longer have the neck strain and constant headaches. Would definitely recommend Dr. Cooper to anyone!
Dr. Cooper is so personable. He makes you feel vert comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I would highly recommend anyone having any procedures done to consult with Dr. Cooper. The price was very reasonable as well.
- Having a second breast reduction is termed a "re-reduction," and this is a procedure I have performed numerous times. - The key with this operation is blood supply to the nipple areolar complex - I perform all of my primary breast reductions with a superior-medial pedicle. "Pedicle" is the medical term for the tissue that has a nerve and blood supply in it. In this case the pedicle supplies the nipple and areola. -When performing a breast re-reduction, the concern is making sure that the blood supply to the nipple and areola are not compromised. -If you have an operative report showing that a superior or superior-medial pedicle was performed when you had your first breast reduction, then you could show that to your plastic surgeon so he/she will know more about blood supply issues that could affect your nipple/areola, BUT it is unlikely that you have that operative report, AND that's just fine! -When I perform breast re-reductions, I just assume that the old fashioned, or more popular, way of performing breast reductions in the past was likely used, whereby an inferior pedicle was used. The issue here is: that is exactly in the area of your breast where tissue needs to be removed. -Of course removing that tissue also removes the dominant blood supply to your nipple and areola. -Therefore, for patients like you, I remove all of that excess inferior (lower) breast tissue and skin, and de-epithelialize (remove the top layer of skin) around the areola, and allow the nipple and areola to be nourished by a random pattern blood supply. The key here is not moving the nipple and areola too much higher, but it can certainly be raised several centimeters very safely. -The other option would be to try to re-create the old inferior pedicle, but that is purely guesswork as the old pedicle can not be readily identified, and it can take a long turn to the side under the skin before reaching the nipple and areola, so I never try that technique. -Lastly, a free nipple graft is an option, but loss of sensation and some loss of pigment accompanies that method. And healing time takes longer. -The above is very technical, but important! The key is this: meet with a board certified plastic surgeon (ASPS Member) who has a lot of experience with breast re-reductions! -Best of luck to you, and thanks for sharing!
- We commonly place breast implants that are the same width of our breast augmentation patients' base diameter. You can still look natural if you go up to that natural base diameter, or breast width, that you have. - As you might expect, the more you exceed the width beyond your own base diameter, the more "side boob" you'll have after your breast augmentation. - You would look great with either implant size you have listed above. - Best of luck to you, and thanks for sharing!
- Congrats on the major weight loss you have achieved! - We perform many lower body lifts, all on an outpatient basis, and our patients experience very few if any complications. The most common complication would be a minor one involving a spitting suture. - For the past decade we have also placed all of our lower body lift patients on a one week course of Lovenox (an injectable blood thinner) post-operatively to prevent blood clots as well. - We have never had to admit any of our body contouring patients to the hospital, so that definitely speaks to the safety of these procedures. - I would recommend setting up a consultation with a board certified (ASPS Member) surgeon who commonly performs body contouring procedures for patients after massive weight loss. - We often add on breast surgery as the same time as a lower body lift. Additionally, some patients choose to have an arm lift (brachioplasty) performed at the same time as their breast surgery. - Thanks for your question and wishing you the best as you complete your weight loss journey with body contouring!
- You appear to be a great candidate for a breast lift. - A breast lift will provide you with more youthful appearing breasts. Your nipple will be brought to a higher position, and your breasts will no longer be resting on your upper abdomen. -Definitely meet with a board certified (ASPS Member) plastic surgeon to be evaluated!
- You do not have tuberous breasts. - You do have a lack of breast fullness, especially in the upper pole of your breasts, and a breast augmentation would really help you out! - Definitely meet with a board certified plastic surgeon (ASPS Member) to find out more. - Thanks for sharing!
