Rhinoplasty- Deprojection vs. Supratip Break, can both be done?

In general it is usually possible to do both tip deprojection and supra tip break creation.

It's hard to say for certain if this is the case with you without seeing your nose, though.

Generally speaking, if the anatomy allows for it, you should be able to achieve both. By deprojecting the tip, you bring it more in line with the level of the bridge. This would tend to diminish or eradicate a supra tip break, unless the bridge is further reduced. You should be able to see similar examples of prior work from any surgeon you go to for a consultation.

Rhinoplasty requires exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations. Common cosmetic concerns include a dorsal hump, wide nose, sunken nose, irregularities, and asymmetries. Functional concerns include difficulty breathing through the nose, which can and should be addressed at the same time as your rhinoplasty.

In your situation, both are definitely possible. A supratip break has to do with the relationship of the dorsum to the tip, where as deprojection usually refers to the tip only.

Make sure to seek out the care of a board certified surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. Find someone you connect with, who will listen to your concerns and provide you with a framework for what is possible.
