I am 11 days post-op from a neck lift + chin implant and I am in absolute awe. Dr. Ort has a brilliant blend of surgical expertise and artistic mastery. I met with five other prominent surgeons in the Seattle area and not one gave me the deeply personal and empathic analysis Dr. Ort did. Immediately after meeting with her I knew she was the one.
I had a genetically recessed chin with a layer of fat beneath that I've had my entire life—no amount of diet or exercising changed it. After all my meetings with surgeons I was certain what I needed was lipo and an implant, but Dr. Ort recommended something entirely different. A platysmaplasty (Neck lift) with an optional chin implant. She assured me that I actually didn't have a lot of fat beneath my neck, rather my concern was from a lack of muscle definition. I am so grateful I went with that recommendation in place of traditional lipo which would have undoubtedly left me worse off.
The healing process was quick and mostly painless and now that the swelling has begun to fade, my jawline is sharp, balanced, and singular, no more double chin!
I am so grateful to Dr. Ort and her communicative team. The nurses and anesthesiologist deserve an honorary shout out for their exemplary care. I had zero side effects from anesthesia, not even a sore throat.
My one low-level critique is that appointments often get moved around, even my surgery time changed the day of. I'm sure this is in part because it's a small and bustling business. Small price to pay for a life-changing experience.
Thank you Dr. Ort, I am so grateful to you and your lovely team!

Healing was quite a journey, but I'm just about 6 weeks out and could not be happier. My features look much more harmonious and balanced, and I healed so quickly.
Dr. Ort doesn't provide morphs pre-op so I was a little unsure of what to expect, but the results are even better than I could imagine.

Not sure why this site doesn't let you upload new images without a description, but here's the 6-week update with all angles. Most of the swelling is gone, I'm just waiting on the incision to lighten up. I've started getting sensation back in my chin area which has been bit uncomfortable but nothing unmanageable. The one thing I'm super aware of now is some banding that wasn't there before. I'm hoping it'll start to go away as the platysma muscle starts to loosen up, but for now, it's a bit weird looking whenever I raise my chin up.
