Thank you very much for your question and photographs.Botox is an excellent choice for treating dynamic wrinkles, or those caused byrepetitive muscle movement and expressions. However, the injectable is not a goodchoice for tightening tissue along the jaw or under the chin. Kybella is aninjectable treatment designed to reduce the isolated fat pockets under thechin, reducing submental fat, smoothing and lifting this tissue. For moredramatic results, a neck lift or submental fat liposuction can be used tocontour the jawline. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with aboard certified plastic surgeon. At this time, he or she can examine the submentalfat and the quality of your skin, then recommend the best technique based onyour individual needs and aesthetic goal.
Hello, and thanks for your question. Botox is not the injectable you would use to tighten the jaw line. Kybella is a great option even if you do not have very much fullness under the chin. We have seen it work very well for improving the tightness of the jaw and improving the chin profile.Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Kybella is, in my opinion, the best product to treat submental fat. It's what it was made for. Kybella’s active ingredient is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body, which aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into subcutaneous fat, this molecule destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store fat and, if the desired look is achieved, more treatment is not required.
No, Botox will not improve under the chin area. Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that:1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take monthsKybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that:1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concernNeck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients.I hope this helps.
No, Botox will not improve this. A combination approach would give the most improvement. Kybella, PDO Nova Threads, Ultherapy and/or ThermiRF treatments (Venus Legacy) are non-invasive options that would do well in combination for skin tightening. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if you're a candidate. See a cosmetic dermatologist for a long term treatment plan. Best, Dr. Emer.
Botox will not tighten your skin. What you need is an energy based device like radiofrequency to tighten your chin area
Botox is not a good alternative for tightening the skin under the chin though it can be used to decrease the bands of the neck known as platysmal bands. If you have fullness under the chin Kybella is a great option as it will decrease the fullness as well as tighten the skin in the area. If you just have loose skin Ulthera works great as it works by creating collagen and thereby tightening the skin. I hope this answers your question. Best of Luck.
RadarBased on your question and uour photos, I am assuming you would like uour jawline/neck to be as defined when relaxed as it appears when your jaws are clenched.A procedure called Nefertitis Lift using botox can give a more definite jawline/neck. This does work but a longer term solution would be using any radiofrequency device to tighten the skin and even a radiofrequency microneedling device for a more efficient result. PDO Threads such as any “barbed” threads do help but may not give you a longer lasting result as using the energy devices discussed above.Hope this gives you some options to consider.
Great question. Botox is used to relax the muscle to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I think you would be a perfect candidate for Kybella. Kybella is an acid (natural to the body) that I inject into the double chin area which eliminates fat to have a beautiful sculpted jawline. Some of my patients even experience slight skin tightening as a result of the injectable treatment.
Botox will not tighten the chin under the chin. What you probably need is a skin tightening treatment such as Thermage.
Botox and Dysport will diminish crow's feet significantly and will not cause droopy eyelids or brow if done correctly. If this does occur, it is because the injector is not familiar with the anatomy around the eyes. Injecting close to and above the brow can drop the brows and thus the eyelids. I...
Thank you for your question Aarrccc. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. When injected into the skin Botox will relax the muscles and smoothen out the overlying wrinkles. The most common areas of treatment are in the ...
