Uneven, misshapen forehead, can anything be done? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for your question. If you are concerned about the depression on your forehead you could have some fillers put in there to even out the forehead or you could have someone inject diluted Sculptra which over time could build some collagen in that area and fill in the depressions. I hope this helps. Best of Luck.

Are there any lasers or RF's or any similar treatment safe when doing over them over a face with fillers in it?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thank you for your question. Usually lasers do not go very deep only a mm or so. Radio frequency can go up to 3 mm depth and Ulthera can go up to 4.5 mm depth. It will depend how deep the collagen fillers were injected. Normally they are deep and some of them are injected on the bone.  Laser treatments are usually safe after fillers. RF and Ulthera should not be done soon after fillers as they go deep and may dissolve the fillers if they are injected superficially. I would suggest you talk to the physician who injected your fillers before you think of RF or Ulthera skin tightening procedures.

I had 24 Botox injection into my neck. Now very sore and inflamed (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for your question. Looking at your pictures and the fact that your neck is sore and red looks like either an allergic reaction to something or some sort of infection. I would suggest you see the physician that injected you so that you can be evaluated. This is not a normal reaction to Botox injection. Best of Luck.

What are treatment options for sweating excessively? Is laser treatment for facial/scalp sweating and back sweating possible?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox can give relief from excessive sweating of underarms, palms of hands and soles  of feet. Micro-botox injected in to the skin rather than the muscles will help you in excessive sweating of the face. Other uses of Botox is for prevention of migraine headaches, spasms of muscles especially the neck and shoulder muscles. I hope this helps. Best of Luck.

Botox for submental area under chin? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox is not a good alternative for tightening the skin under the chin though it can be used to decrease the bands of the neck known as platysmal bands. If you have fullness under the chin Kybella is a great option as it will decrease the fullness as well as tighten the skin in the area. If you just have loose skin Ulthera works great as it works by creating collagen and thereby tightening the skin. I hope this answers your question. Best of Luck.

Is there a link between ALS and Botox?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

There is no corelation between Botox and ALS. It does not cause generalized muscle weakness. It has been used for many years and has not shown any incidence of generalized muscle weakness. That being said I will not inject Botox or any other neuro modulator in a person who has pre existing muscle weakness.

Bumped head after Botox

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi CVX in my opinion bumping the top of your head 15 mts. after the injection of botox should not have any effect on the spread of the Botox. If you had bumped the area that was injected there was a remote but unlikely possibility of it happening. You will not see the full effects of Botox for 2 weeks so I suggest you wait. Best  of Luck.

I used Dysport for the 1st time however it wasn’t enough. Can I go back to my original Dr and add Botox?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox is 3 times more potent than Dysport. So you have to be injected with 3 times of Dysport in comparison to Botox. You should go back to your physician and tell them that you are not satisfied with the results. You can definitely get more Botox. Best of luck.

I had Botox in my neck and shoulders for muscle spasms and am having very alarming side effects

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox is a neuro toxin which weakens the muscle by preventing the release of acetylcholine from the nerve endings. Your weak ness is most probably due to your muscles in the neck and the shoulder region being weakened by the Botox injection. Fortunately the effect of Botox lasts only 3-4 months and the nerve endings will again start producing acetylcholine and the strength will come back. The weakness usually recovers earlier that the 3-4 month period. Best of Luck to you.

6 months post Botox on forehead and my brows dropped. Still no improvement. When will this wear off?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox effect lasts 3-4 months and in rare cares may be little longer but you should be able to move your eyebrows and lids by now. Though 60 units of Botox injected in to just the horizontal lines is a bit too much. I usually start with 10-14 units of Botox and 30-42 units of Dysport for this area. I usually check the people I inject 2 weeks later and if they need more I will inject at that time. You should return to the doctor who injected you and discuss the effect. Best of Luck.
