Is there any aesthetic solution to this horizontal smile line above my lip? (Photo)

Fillers, neuromodulators like Botox, laser restoration and a lip lift are all excellent options for that horizontal line. You’re right: That line above your lip is probably caused by an overactive muscle. A very light touch of Botox can relax it. If the line has become grooved, a hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm or Volbella can smooth it out. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist who’s an expert at using Botox around the mouth is essential for great and safe results.

Dear Teacupsandroses,based on your photo, it looks like this can be improved with a combination of dermal fillers and Botox. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.Daniel Barrett, MD

 Thank you for the question. The best way to treat this issue, which is fairly common, is with filler and/or botulinum. It can easily be performed in the office. See an experienced plastic surgeon who does a lot of injections for best results. 

This can be improved with well-placed filler and/or Botox. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

A small amount of Botox into this horizontal line can smooth out the line by relaxing the muscle.  Please consult a board certified dermatologist who is an expert in Botox injections.  Best, Dr. Green

A small dose of a muscle relaxing injection (i.e Botox/Dysport) would settle this problem. 
I would suggest seeing a certified plastic surgeon to discuss this further.
