Dear doctors, I want to deproject and refine my tip, however I heard that skin thicknesss can alter the result. According to my photographs, does it look like my skin thickness is thin enough to allow liberal deprojection and tip refinement? If so, does it lean to the thin or medium skin thickness? I am caucasian. Thanks!

Answer: Skin thickness in rhinoplasty The changes to deproject your nose and refine the tip appear significant enough that with any skin thickness you will likely see the changes you want. Being caucasian and young female you are likely to have thin to medium skin thickness which will be liberal to show the changes. Thicker skins do tend to hide and reduce the underlying changes. I think you will likely have a good outcome.

Answer: Tip It is hard to assess your skin thickness without actually examining you. I agree, you would benefit from tip refinement as you appear to have a boxy tip.
